Its a no from us!!
Powered grass campsite
Liked The barman in the clubhouse was really trying hard. He was so busy but made you feel really welcome.
Disliked Our pitch was covered in beer cans, rubbish, discarded tent pegs and rocks..not ideal with a tent and why should we have to clear other peoples rubbish! The shower block filthy, tired never any toilet roll. Walking from tent to toilet block at night was dangerous as pitch black, maybe a few site lights?!
The shop had toys but nothing else!
The constant smell of weed was awful, thankfully we only stayed a weekend. Won't be recommending or returning. Very expensive for absolutely nothing for your money. Might as well have camped in a layby.

Awful! Avoid!
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Nothing
Disliked The warden likes to hang around In the ladies toilets, constantly in there! Don’t think there wasn’t one time me or my family went to the loo and he was in there. The site doesn’t feel safe atol. People on drugs! Booked for a 2 night stay with my children had to leave after the first night. My children was asking to go home!

Liked Myself, partner and disabled son had a lovely relaxed weekend at Shamba.
My son loved the pool and karaoke.
We loved the friendly staff and friendly camping neighbours.
Disliked Not much stock in shop but there was local shops near by.
No WiFi on the campsite, only in the club house which was temperamental.

Powered gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Nothing
Disliked Firstly emergency contact never answers
Booked hard standing gravel and the patch of grass was non existent .
The pitches are over crowded . It was basically tent to tent. We were in a camper and didnt even unpack for the 2 nights we booked . Cars were pulling up late to make up tents. The cars then just parked up opposite their booking . No where for kids to play properly. No soap no toilet roll. Dirty toilets so was not going to use the pool . Soon as we woke up we left .

Toilets always clean, good pitch sizes,…
Powered grass campsite
Liked Toilets always clean, good pitch sizes, great location.
Disliked Card only site, however card machine struggled with signal. Shop very limited in supplies (there is a M&S at the petrol station down the road) Showers could do with being updated (water only stayed on for short bursts)

Don't bother

Liked The pool
Disliked Absolutely filthy, the toilet block and the shower block were disgusting. There was rubbish all over the floor on the pitches, the facilities were never open, it felt grubby and unloved. The park was rubbish.

I would not visit this site again due to the poor condition
Powered grass campsite
Liked The pitches were spacious and flat
Disliked The disabled shower and toilet were mouldy and in poor condition. Around the pool was extremely slippery. I fell over when walking to the changing room and could not get up as it was so slippery. I had to shuffle on my bottom to the passageway and get to a mat before I could get up. The showers where also thick with mould.

Ideal place to stop over if doing day trips but needs improvement
Powered grass campsite
Liked Location. Swimming pool.
Disliked Unfortunately I don’t think it has been touched since our last visit 5 years ago. A little run down and needs a deep clean. Toilet area is nice and big but again run down, toilets always seemed dirty because the flushes have no power. Play area needs investing in for the kids. Swimming pool was a little slippery and sharp concrete in places.

Liked Nothing
Disliked Everything, pool was green, didn’t even use the toilets due to the sewage smell, had to be moved pitches due to not enough space, water supply and electric hook up not a foot apart and the place was swarming with travellers who think it’s ago to allow the children to ride electric bikes around the pool! Horrendous
