What customers say
Campers rave about the welcoming hosts, spotless facilities, and generous sites. Thoughtful touches like free toiletries and hot drinks are a hit. Great for stopovers near the M6. Facilities are basic but always clean. A bit of road noise and small showers noted by some.

Liked Excellent site, plus all the free goodies, ie toothbrushes, shampoo, shower gel, tea and coffee, and the guy that runs it very efficient.

An extremely pleasant stay. With a friendly father & son team.

Liked The fact that we were located near the shower/toilet block. Which while somewhat dated were sparkly clean.
Disliked The push down taps in the disabled toilet/shower. As a stroke survivor my right side remains weak meaning I struggled to apply sufficient pressure to get the taps working when trying to rinse my left hand.

Excellent campsite and would love to come again.
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Lovely campsite, so clean, very well organised, lots of little extras that were unexpected such as complimentary lolly ices, fridge/freezer in kitchen area, toothpaste/toothbrushes, shower gel, use of kettle and tea and coffee. Really made a big difference as we couldnt get an electric pitch as it was fully booked. Owners really lovely & I would absolutely go back again.
Disliked Nothing.

Excellent site
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Absolute great site, when we arrived we were welcomed by steve who gave us a full break down of what was available, due to the size of our caravan we requested a larger pitch. We were placed on pitch 12 which is a perfectly flat area. The utility room with the tea coffee and ice pops were a great touch along with the toilet accessories for those who may have forgotten theirs.
With 2 children the swings in the trees were perfect for keeping them entertained and killing hours of time.
All of the people we spoke with if that be regular attendees or one night stays had nothing but positive comments.
The location of the site is fantastic also with options north and south, we visited keswick and dumfries whilst there both making great memories, Gretna shopping village is circa 5 minute drive from the site which has alot to offer.
We would not hesitate to rebook this site and have been looking to do so in early 2027.
Many thanks steve and team for the excellent stay.
