What customers say
Peaceful riverside site, great modern facilities. Handy for York by bus/boat & village amenities. Some noted restaurant hours, Wi-Fi, noise, and minor points on washing-up/pitch spacing.

Lovely location, great walks.
Superb, no check in system, that was easy to follow.

Had a lovely few days and hope to come back next year
Powered grass and gravel RV campsite (XXL, no awning)
Liked Everything! New shower/toilet block - free hairdryers. Cafe/bar open until 4 with breakfast/snacks/ice creams. Only 25 plots plus shepherd huts etc. Right on the river - would have been lovely to take the riverboat into York but not available on our days. Short walk to village (about 10 mins) with bus into York, 3 pubs (2 with good food) and a sports and social club with pool table and many tv’s showing sport

Beautiful site right besides the River.…
Powered grass and gravel RV campsite (XL, no awning)
Liked Beautiful site right besides the River. Fabulous facilities. Really impressed with the showers. Walking distance to York (about 1 hour) and found a few good walks going the other way up the river including York Marina.
Disliked River boat didn't run all the time and the restaurant was only open Thur-Sun.

Disliked Having to be quiet before 10 pm

Expensive for facilities on offer.
Powered grass and gravel travel trailer campsite (medium, no awning)
Liked Nice location
Lovely puns in the village
Disliked Pitches are really close together. Door to shower and toilets was faulty and maintenance appeared to dismiss this telling people it always breaks. It was eventually forced open by another camper.
Cafe requested we purchase our drinks in the restaurant/bar area however when we entered we were asked to leave due to a private function.
It was difficult to find any staff to speak to. Before booking just check what facilities are available during your stay. For a large part of the week the restaurant is closed and the river taxi isn't operational.
I didn't feel it was value for money for the price paid.
