  • Small and simple site on a Warwickshire family farm
  • A 15-minute drive from Stratford-upon-Avon and Warwick Castle
  • Hikes, fishing and open water swimming in the surrounding area
Well, here’s a winning Warwickshire location for an alfresco break – Owl Barn Farm Camping is a small and family-oriented site 15 minutes’ drive from Stratford-upon-Avon and close to the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This countryside site is part of a family-run farm that you’ll be sharing with the resident chickens and goats (they live in a separate enclosure, but are always happy to receive visitors…) You’ll be staying on grass pitches with access to simple facilities including toilets, showers and a washing-up area. As for activities, on select dates during high season, the site runs goat yoga. Filling your days with outdoor pursuits should be straightforward around here – there are lots of walking trails to choose from, plus options nearby for fishing, paddleboarding and open water swimming. You’ll be able to tick off major landmarks too, including Warwick Castle and Stratford’s various Shakespeare-themed attractions. Meanwhile, if you’re here on a Saturday you’ll be able to head over the road and seek out treasures at Wellesbourne Airfield Market. For other shopping, there are a couple of supermarkets five minutes’ drive away for all your meal ingredients; if you’d rather eat out there are a few pubs around the area and plenty of places to choose from in Stratford-upon-Avon.

What customers say

Peaceful, well-spaced farm site with friendly owners great with kids. Loved the animals, especially goats, and quiet rural setting. Clean facilities, hot showers (£0.50). Good base for exploring. Needs better recycling/signage. Work in progress with positive plans.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Lovely little site and we dropped lucky with the weather and lovely other campers so very quiet night. A relaxed greeting and a quick set up meant we were off to the local for a lovely tea as recommended the the site. Just right.

Disliked The toilets were clean enough for a campsite and we were forwarned by other reviews it's 50p for a shower which is a bit fiddly when getting changed and then putting coins in as the count down starts as soon as coin goes in but the coin machine is outside the cubicle. A few of the cubicles were without toilet paper in both men's and women and the cubicles for toilets and showers are a bit tight for grownups, especially taller people.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Lovely campsite, loads of space and lovely having the goats wondering about! Good facilities for basic camping (met our needs entirely) and well located for days out to Warwick, Stratford Upon Avon, National Trust properties and further away, Birmingham.

Disliked Not so much a dislike, more a thing to work on going forwards - would be nice to have some form of recycling in place as all rubbish in same bin but these days so much regular waste is recyclable.
