  • A 170-acre site two miles from the beach at Mablethorpe
  • Several fishing lakes on site and a family show bar with entertainment
  • Golf course, aqua park and a bar and restaurant
Guests of all sizes should find stacks to do at good-looking and quiet Grange Leisure Park two miles from Mablethorpe, like packing the kids off to scale the heady heights of the adventure playground's pirate ship while the grownups concern themselves with the serious matters of casting or teeing off… Casting off is at the park's six scenic fishing lakes filled with good-sized carp, roach, bream, perch and a few more scaly species. For teeing off, Grange has a nine-hole golf course; day tickets are available at reception where you can also hire clubs. There's also an outdoor aqua park available for guests' use for an extra charge, and a leisure complex with a family showbar (hosting entertainment), a bar-restaurant, arcade, café and supermarket. Entertainment and fishing are included in the pitch price. After the fish/golf balls have been tamed and the kids have gone wild in the playground (they'll find a zipwire, swings, slide and quite a bit more there too) guests of all sizes can meet up in the Badgers Barn Pub for a bite and a tipple (possibly not the latter for smaller guests). And then, a stroll to walk it all off? Ambling options are all around: Grange Leisure Park is on 170 acres of farmland and fields, with clear open views, miles of trails and wildlife in abundance. If you're wandering into Mablethorpe, the beach is about a mile away, but if you're feeling full/ lazy, the local bus stops right outside the site.

What customers say

This park boasts spacious, clean sites and friendly staff, with fishing and an aqua park. Some noted issues with washroom cleanliness and noise from roads/campers. On-site entertainment is great for families, though some found prices high and food quality inconsistent.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Entertainment, facilities, friendly staff, clean site.

Disliked Nephew split head open (no fault of anyone else’s and it was an accident) however there was nothing but bandages in all three first aid kits that was brought to support. We was offered baby wipes to clean the wound. Staff was apologetic and advised they felt embarrassed but this needs to be a lesson and acted upon.

Disliked Amenities not always clean/stocked often enough.
Potent smell around toilet/shower blocks.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Nice, clean site.

Disliked Busy bar. Not enough room to sit down & enjoy the shows. It should be made adult only from 8pm so adults can enjoy the entertainment. Our pitch numbers were incorrect - one of our numbers couldn't be found! Caused confusion and then we got told we'd pitched too close to family! Not our fault!

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Staff were fabulous - extremely helpful at all times and very polite - club house and bar/restaurant were brilliant - food really good in the restaurant and at a reasonable price too - over all the site was really lovely

Disliked Washing facilities for pots area could do with a bit more space or more cover for weather conditions being adverse - no hot water at the pot washing area so need to take hot water with you so may as well just wash up at tent really
Port-a-loos need instructions on how to use them as it appeared people didn’t realise or couldn’t be bothered to “flush” so not a nice environment to be taking small children to in the middle of the night if they woke up needing to use them - not that nice for adults either (of a certain age) who need to use them through the night

Camping pod

Liked The toilet update is good. We enjoyed a meal and drinks in Badgers barn. The spar shop was handy on site.

Disliked We stayed in pod 4, after staying in pod 1 this time last year. We were very disappointed. The pod wasnt very clean and we even found a sachet of tomato sauce in pod 4 when we arrived. Stepping in and out of the pod wasnt easy as it had no decking at the door. The lighting around the site was terrible, the light near our pod wasnt working. There seemed to be alot of rubbish around where we were staying.

Local attractions

Mablethorpe, Sutton-on-Sea, Ingoldmells, Skegness and other Lincolnshire lovelies are all close by for the coastal connoisseurs; and market towns, villages and the Lincolnshire Wolds easy to get to inland. At Mablethorpe, many visitors wander through the dunes to Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary, home of many a brightly-coloured bird, birds of prey, primates, reptiles and roguish-looking meerkats as well as the seals. Kids and big kids will probably also like Mablethorpe's miniature railway, boating lake and funfair; fans of the latter should add in Ingoldmells, home of Fantasy Island theme park. This is also a cracking area for nature: more seals can be seen at the popular Donna Nook National Nature Reserve down the coast between Grainthorpe Haven and Saltfleet, and a huge nature reserve teeming with squawking seabirds is at Gibraltar Point near Skegness. Also nearby, bob about in boats or cast off again at the waters of the Lincolnshire Wolds, alongside many miles of trails and bridleways to walk, cycle or horse ride, or bob around Lincolnshire's market towns: recommended options include Alford, Louth and Lincoln.
