Well worth a visit, lovely small site with lots of animals.
Powered grass campsite
Liked Ian and the team are all lovely. It's a great site and the kids love going. The site might not all be perfect but you can tell it's a work off love and all things take time and money. We love coming back year after year. The bar is reasonably priced and they offer a really nice ale and cider. If your staying I would recommend having a breakfast one morning and at £10 for a full breakfast it's worth the price. If you like animals it's a must for a visit.
There is a park on site so with the animals it's great for the kids. If you time it right sometimes at feeding time you can hold some off the smaller animals which is great and the lady who does it is great with Children (sorry I can't remember her name).
The site also has a fishing lake you can get what you need on site we don't fish but believe they have everything you need and im sure Ian can tell you what to do if your a novice.

May have been better if you stay on an allocated pitch with electric.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked The animals and fishing lake.
Disliked We chose this site because of the animals and play area as we were taking our 4 year old Granddaughter.
The playground is in disrepair and most of the equipment needs fixing.
The site allows large groups.

From the manager: This is said.
We continually review and check the play area. And you say it is in disrepair?
What issues did you find and feel them safe enough for you not to highlight to staff or owners.
So many visitors praise us for the play area
Conscious everyone has differing opinions and standards butty say it's in a state of disrepair isn't fair
While the site could be lovely it is in need of some investment/update

Liked This site has potential the children loved the animals and playing in the woods
Disliked There are only 2 showers for the whole site
The fishing pond needs some serious maintenance the peg area are dangerous
The children's park is in need of work the trampolines are potentially a death trap

Powered grass campsite
Liked It was our first family trip in our caravan, the handyman Jay was very helpful getting us in and set up, and our little boy (2 years) loved playing with his toys with him. The pitch was lovely and grassy, very spacious too, plenty of space for our awning and the car in front. The highlight for our little boy was the farm animals, he spent most of the day going to see the sheep and the donkeys. Lots of facilities close to our pitch, for showers and washing up. A decent sized children's play area and a barn with lots of small animals too. There is also an enclosed dog exercise area, so we were able to let our 2 dogs off lead in the mornings. Super helpful owners, very friendly. We loved every minute and will definitely return to the campsite in the future.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked Relaxed site some great animals to look at
Disliked Sandy area which made it very dusty , I believe they are trying to deal with this issue shower and toilets needed some attention.

From the manager: Thankyou.
Most of the site is fully renovated and regraded with work to continue on the last area this week.
We are a sandy area. The weather has been exceptional. The two combined equals dust sadly
We are awaiting new shower trays and then going to refurb the wet rooms
Animal commitments and our poor health recently have impacted on getting this work done.
That said we try to provide the best we can and are regularly compared positively to facilities other sites offer

Beautiful family friendly stay
Powered grass campsite
Liked We’ve just come back from a stay at Sunflower Farm Park and honestly had such a lovely time. What really stood out to us is that it’s a not-for-profit campsite, with all the fees going towards feeding and caring for the rescue animals on site – such a great cause and it really shows in the atmosphere around the park.
The animals are a huge highlight. Many of them roam freely, which makes the whole experience feel really special, especially for kids. It adds such a relaxed, friendly vibe and it’s clear they’re well loved and cared for.
The fishing pond was another favourite of ours – really peaceful and a lovely way to spend some downtime. There’s also a bar and a small shop on site, which is a great touch and means you don’t have to leave if you don’t want to. The play park is brilliant too, plenty there to keep the kids entertained.
The pitches are a really good size, giving you plenty of room without feeling cramped, and the whole site has a nice, laid-back feel. The owners are genuinely lovely people – very welcoming and always happy to have a chat, which makes a big difference.
Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend Sunflower Farm Park to anyone looking for a relaxed, family-friendly campsite with something a bit different.
Disliked The only small downside for us was the shower facilities. They’re okay and perfectly usable, but could do with a bit of a revamp. That said, it’s clear the owners are aware, and given everything they’re doing with the animals, it’s understandable that it’s a big investment. Once that’s updated, this place would easily be a solid 5-star stay
