Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Exactly as described. Just rock up and choose your pitch. Portaloos aren’t great but we didn’t expect luxury. Water is available. We only used it to clean our dishes and took our own water for drinking. Owner is very friendly and comes around a couple of times a day to clean portaloos and check in on everyone. Kids play park across from the field and lots to do in the local area.

Liked The views were good, and it has a relaxing vide.
Disliked Porter Loos, water supply. It’s about as basic as it comes but for £10 a night you can’t really fault it to much.

Liked Nothing to like
Disliked This is a pop up campsite next to Heather Hill Campsite and is nothing other than a field with a small row of about 4 portaloos. When I rang trying to find it, they were so rude just saying repeatedly, "I don't understand why you can't see it!" The reason I couldn't see it was because the one sign on the gate had fallen down. Also on the site, a strong smell of weed - not ideal for me and my 7 year old son.

From the manager: Really sorry to see you didn’t enjoy your stay at Hope valley campsite we are definitely the real Hope valley campsite that clearly states on the website we are a pop up site with portaloos we are farmers that open our lovely field in a beautiful location for campers to come and enjoy the local area it seems like you didn’t read the website before booking we don’t claim to be anything we are not and also don’t read the instructions to get to us we had over 30 other campers arrive the same day as you with no problem
Also drugs are prohibited we will be monitoring this
