Liked Friendly staff. Although there was no one at reception I was phoned before hand to ensure I knew how to get onto the site and the pitch number.
It was clean and tidy.
Lovely outlook, overlooking the lake
Disliked As there was no one at the reception we had no information about free WiFi or nearby facilities, ie - a bar. An information sheet of information on the door would have been useful.

Liked Excellent site. Well run. Friendly staff. Clean facilities. Good sized pitches with beech hedging between each one. I liked the music playing in the shower/toilet block. Excellent WiFi. Excellent information before and on arrival. Close to a supermarket and pub. Bus route just outside the entrance to Cheltenham and Gloucester The site is situated just off the A40 so traffic could be a problem but ear-plugs overnight worked well. Definitely stay again.

Liked Excellent. The staff were very welcoming. Great showers, plenty of hot water. The toilet/shower block was kept very clean and tidy. J liked the music playing in the shower block. Easy access to Gloucester and Cheltenham. The pitches were level and a good size with beech hedging in between. Excellent wi-fi. Excellent information before arrival and on the day. Probably one of the best run sites we have been to. I only scored it 9 because the A40 was adjacent to the site, which made it very easy to access but noisy at night. This was helped by wearing ear-plugs at night. ASDA and a pub within walking distance (10 minutes away)

Liked Location on route to Calais
Disliked Everything!
Overpriced!
No reception, a phone call at 6pm, 3 hours after we arrived at the campsite.
No information, we were helped by an English couple who had arrived earlier in the week, they told us just to pitch up and plug in.
1 outside toilet, no toilet paper, no basin to wash your hands.
The water tap was 100 meters away, but this was only a pipe lying on the ground.
We did not find the showers, or chemical/waste disposal at the site.
The electric connection was insecure.
Thankfully this was only for 1 night on our way to Calais

Liked Peaceful location, excellent walks around. We enjoyed the wildlife and watching the parachutes descending. Great cafe on site adjacent to the river and lock gate. The Angel pub in Yarwell was just under a mile to walk, excellent food and great service.
We were aware from reviews there was on-going building works. Whilst we were there there was no work going on so we were not disturbed.
Disliked The shower/toilet block was generally clean but lacking toilet brushes and waste bins. One toilet had a broken seat and one was leaking.
The facilities available seemed inadequate for the number of pitches on site and although only 5 pitches were in use we still had to queue.. The shower/toilet block could usefully have steps on the field side.
Expensive compared other sites with better facilities.

It was quiet, once we had moved from C8. This pitch is right next to the toilet/shower block and people walked across our pitch to access the toilets. We could hear the hand-dryer being used overnight. We asked to move the following morning and we moved to a much quieter pitch.
Plenty of hot water.
Clean
Disliked Pitch C8, see above, noisy pitch.

Only 1 shower in the female block had a lock.
