Unpowered gravel motorhome site
Liked A great location, level gravel area, a lovely setting. All well maintained and cared for. Fabulous to have a good pub two minutes walk away. Toilet clean and handy. Great directions and information prior to arrival. A good price and dog friendly.
Disliked Perhaps I was unlucky. On the second night I shared the area with a group of partying women who were enjoying karaoke 'till 11pm. On the third night a family arrived who took over the whole space, trashed the apple tree, and threw rubbish everywhere. Parents got drunk and the children were playing and shouting 'till 1am.

Liked Good location, close to motorway, a farm shop across the road and a couple of good, dog friendly pubs in walking distance.
Disliked Expensive for what you got. £5 a night for the dog is a lot. Ground was rutted and poorly maintained. Portacabin toilets OK but not good enough for £35 a night. No shower and no electric hook-up.

From the manager: Hi Robert, Thank you for your booking and your review. I note your comments re the minor rutting on the field. Rather than poor maintenance this represents winter drainage that has been completed to improve the site. The price for pets is clearly advertised and it is your choice whether or not to book for your dog if the price doesn’t appeal. I am surprised that you have chosen to mark us down for services we don’t advertise. As an aside, later this season we will have a shower block that we are renovating currently.

Liked Location - full of the tomancevof rural France. It was very quiet when we were there - just us and a tent at the other end if the site.
Disliked A bit basic and felt a bit unloved. The owner wasn't there and her poor mother was completely bemused by Pitch Up. She was lovely and we muddked through.

Liked Close to the city - an easy cycle ride. The toilets, showers and washing up facilities were immaculate. There is even a photo exhibition on the sanitare railings. Staff were very friendly. Rang be to check I'd arrive in time. Lots of lovely mature trees providing shade and a touch of privacy
Disliked It's been a rotten summer. The pitches were a bit churned up and muddy

Liked Stunning location with amazing things to see and do in the region. We only stayed one night but could happily have stayed longer.
We arrived in September when the park was quiet. It would have been a different proposition in high Summer.
To be next to the beautiful Dordogne river in early Autumn was the icing on the cake
Disliked Showers were a tad tepid

Liked Location is good. Toilets clean
Disliked A 'functional' site. Ground in need of maintenance. Lots of weeds on the hard standing and the grass was very pitted and uneaven. All a bit scruffy. The wifi was extremely weak.

Liked A lovely field with elevated touring pitches offering views overlooking the surrounding countryside. Toilets were very nice and spotless. The honesty shop way great. It was quiet. We had the site to ourselves but, of course, that won't be the norm.
Disliked Umm nothing really. The turning for the site was a bit abrupt. There are several permanently sited touring caravans there but not an issue.

Liked The location was fantastic in a nice-level field. Friendly with not too many rules. A relaxed atmosphere with great views. Reasonable toilets and facilities - a traditional campsite
Disliked The rubbish was overflowing in the skip - not very pleasant. And the recycling was a mess. I don't blame the owners for this but other campers and possibly the local authority. Surely, if you see a bin that says 'plastic-bottles-only', you can work out that this is not a place to put general rubbish. Likewise, the hopper in the washing-up area for 'food-waste-only', is not a place to put your plastic wrappers.

Liked It is a friendly site with lovely toilets and facilities, well-maintained grounds, and a nice shop. Excellent pizza was served on Saturday night.
It's close to but sheltered from the roar of motorbikes on the A65.
Great location close to some great walks. The scenery is gorgeous. A short walk to Clapham, where there are some great cafes and a couple of nice pubs/bars.
Disliked It got a bit crowded on the last Saturday of the school holidays, but that's to be expected.

Liked A quiet and well appointed site next to a river and beautiful ancient church. As a child, we would meet friends at this site every Spring bank holiday. It was much more basic then, a small field with free range chickens. I remember catching brown trout in the river and BBQing them. It is still a great location and the team couldn't have been more helpful. The showers were very luxurious.
Disliked Perhaps a few too many green statics but that's business. It was very quiet when we were there so not really a problem. I didn't trust the "throw everything in the skip and the contractors will sort out the recycling" so we took our recyclables away with us.
