One if the reasons for selecting this site was the on-site pub/restaurant, however on arrival we were told the kitchen was being refitted so a reduced and limited menu was on offer. No problem with this we thought, until we went into the pub to be told they were not doing any food. A very surly and uninterested or helpful guy behind the bar, more interested in “chatting” with his other customers. Due to the site having a height barrier and needed the warden to open it really wasn’t practical to go off site and find somewhere else to eat.
None of this would have been a problem if we had been told of the food issue when we booked (only a couple of weeks previously), and on arrival we had been told there was no food not the “reduced” option which wasn’t even available.
We won’t be returning.

I'm so glad that you liked our campsite.Thank you for your review.
I'm so sorry about the problem with the pub. The pub is actually separate from the campsite but unfortunately your problem with meals seems to have been attributed to the campsite.
I've been told that normal pub service should be resumed mid March.
