Awesome private pitches,a quality pub on site with great food. Superb walk for the dog by the river toilets and showers spotless, staff so helpful and polite.

Spacious plots, excellent tiolets & showers - roomy and clean. Georgia - the site manager - is so friendly and helpful. We like it as it's a small site and not super-busy all the time. The plots are separated by huge hedges, so very private, and plenty of space. We had a picnic bench on our plot, and still had plenty of room for our hammock, 2 camp chairs, dog bed, sun canopy plus the car of course.

Loud motorbikes in the early hours, but that's because it's set back from a main road which makes the site easily accessible when towing - so swings & roundabouts really.

The food in the pub was nice, shame the same couldn't be about the site.

We had booked for 4 nights but only stayed one, mainly, but not only, due to there being a public footpath directly behind our pitch, that was only separated by a 3 ft high picket fence, not the most securest of sites, and no mention of this on there website. Anybody at any time could easily hop over the fence and help them self's to anything. Also, the shower facilities weren't the best, not only did you have to walk past the park and the beer garden to the rear of the pub, but the showers are way to hot, and, due to there being no windows inside the shower room and the extractor fans not working (at all) it got very hard to breathe, given the fact that a member of our party has a severe lung condition, it was almost impossible to stay in there long enough to take a shower.
When we were finally able to speak to a member of staff the following day, as nobody was at the office at all the day we arrived, we were told, by a rather rude and unhelpful girl.. " I dont know what your problem is, nobody else is bothered" and "there is nothing wrong with the extractor fans" on telling her that we would not be staying as we didn't feel safe she replied "suit yourself " and walked off.. not at any point were we offered any kind of apology let alone any sort of refund. Needless to say we will not be returning.
Other people may not be bothered by the lack of security, and are quite happy for joe public to go walking by eyeing up what you've got but we have worked hard for what we have and really don't want to risk having it stolen.

Lovely little site, couldn’t fault it to be honest. If I did have to choose one thing it would be that they don’t accept arrivals after 7-8:30pm with high van due to a high barrier which has to be opened when coming and going

Being near water it attracts bugs

Nice green place, good pitches, outstanding sanitation facilities and friendly staff. The onsite pub is great and there are pleasant woodland/riverside walks straight from the site.
