Liked: Lovely campsite on the river edge. Lots of walks down to the canal and forest from the site and some lovely wildlife. Pitch was level and electrics all easy to access. Toilet block was spotless, warm and spacious. Great shower and the room was a decent size so you can change and dry easily. All campsites should be like that!
Great security gate to get into the site too, so would feel more than comfortable leaving the van there for an extended period. Oh and great play park for the kids.
We ate in the pub on the Saturday night, glad we booked as it was very popular even with a reduced menu (kitchen refurbishment going on). The food was lovely though! Dog friendly and welcoming.
Disliked: Not really a dislike but could imagine the shower block getting busy when the site is full. Which would be a problem as all 4 toilets are in the rooms with the showers, so could be some queues. Although you could use the pub toilets if open as a back up.

Liked: The campsite was really friendly and the toilets and showers were top-notch. The gate security was very good and we liked the fact that the pub is part of it. Jacky, the warden, was extremely helpful and welcoming. The only minus was that you can't arrive until 1pm but otherwise I would definitely recommend it
