A friendly clean site.We had grandchildren for the evening so decided to take them off in motorhome. Booked on morning of going, from start to finish we recieved excellent customer service.
A lovely pub on site, washing block, waste disposal and water along with electricity. There is lovely woodland and a river to go for walks to explore.
The food was excellent and friendly staff at the pub.
A great base for longer stays.
Great value for money.
Dog friendly.
Secure site with electric barrier.

The only faults to comment on is the play area was a mud bath of stodge and we got stuck on the pitch but this was due to the high level of rain, so I would imagine with nicer weather this wouldn't be a problem.
Maybe some bark to soak up the stodge.
A fellow camper and site warden assisted helping us get off pitch.
This certainly didn't dampen our stay ...it was a little bit more of an adventure for the grandchildren.

Warm welcome as usual, I would like to add, the path alongside the river (access to shower and toilet block) has been improved over the winter, so no puddles, why they didn’t top the section of path alongside pitch 1 at the same time is lost on me.

Back end of the site, very wet and access onto the grass pitches looked very muddy.
I understand the area had been subjected to a lot of heavy rain in the previous 2 weeks

Great little site with clean facilities and level pitches. Behind a pub with a beer garden, playground and great food. What more do you need?

Good facilities bathrooms modern clean and warm washing machine if you need it pub on site although I did not visit fresh drinking water bins on site including chemical toilet waste point

Grass pitch boggy muddy but weather was bad
No awning allowed and not enough room for awning if was allowed
Pub very pricey 22 pound for a mixed grill 😱😱 reason for not visiting
Height barrier does not automatically open have to go to pub and ask to get out understand why but maybe a card to get out with height option if vehicle is over 2 meters

Warm welcome, super clean bathrooms and pub on site did well priced bar food.

Ground was muddy so we should have booked hard standing pitch - small stuff really. No WiFi at site itself.

We were unhappy on approach at the aggressive height barrier which was operated by staff only. What of emergencies? We booked in at the pub. The grass pitches were waterlogged after a few days of heavy storms and although, unbeknown to us, the owner lived in her American RV at the entrance she had made no plans for 3.5 tons arriving on site. Initially we were told, by the pub that all pitches were booked. But at my insistance suggested a hard pitch may be free. In fact the site had many pitches free including a couple of hardstanding sites. We asked for the owner to be I formed of the change and that we would need the barrier opened for an 8.30 departure. It took 30 mins for the pub to find a remote key to open the barrier and yet the owner had her lights on in her RV.

Really good site. We parked our motorhome there for the night. Toilet and shower facilities were very good We ate at the George on the evening and food was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.
