Liked: Clean, well maintained site with level pitches.
Kids loved the park and the evening entertainment on the Saturday night.
Great price, great location.
The shop and bar are wonderfully stocked too.
Disliked: Hot water was very hit and miss (as can be expected) but we'd likely limit our stays here to no more than 2 nights in case we can't get a hot shower.
Also, not a reflection on the campsite but there is really patchy wifi if you're with O2 or EE, again, to be expected but just something to be aware of for using google maps!
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with both recommendations and the children enjoying the campsite sports event.
If I may answer your dislikes} The hot water is supplied and individually heated by gas so there should not be any reason for hit & miss supply and on the door we do ask if there are any issue to let us know so we can addend to them?
We don't have WIFI as stated on our T&C (The campsite does not have Wi-Fi due to the prohibitive installation cost; however, most campers have mobile Wi-Fi, check with your provider) We suggest perhaps a mobile dongle from you suppliers may be the answer. We wish you all happy camping and safe travels and on your next visit the children may win gold medals in our fun events for all.

Liked: Loved this site from the moment I arrived.
It has plenty of room on your pitch (we only needed half the size ) we arrived late and last part of the journey it was raining so slightly wet as well love motorbikes 😆. All I wanted was a hot drink the food hut had just closed but the lovely lady still made us a coffee. Thank you 🙏🏻
Very nice staff and clean toilets /showers
Also good hot water for washing up.
Lovely weekend bar with shelter and a wood burner nice and cosy. Will definitely stay again when we’re in That area. Should have been 2 nights ended up staying 3.
Disliked: Absolutely nothing 😊

From the manager: It was very nice to meet you both and we thank you for your kind review and recommendations. Glad you got home safely in the weather and we do look forward to seeing you both again, until then happy camping and safe travels on your motorbikes.

Liked: Enjoyed being next to the sheep, and it was quiet
Disliked: Showers could’ve been cleaner however this added to experience
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and all your recommendations, Happily there is a driveway between or camping site and the farmers sheep field but they are nice to see with the lambs at this time of year.
I am surprised at your comment about the showers as they are jet washes with a DEFRA approved disinfectant daily so I suppose it would depend on the camper showering before you if they didn't rinse (I think we will start jet washing twice a day just to make sure, so on your next visit they should shine.)
Happy camping and safe travels until your next visit perhaps with family and friends

Liked: The scenery was beautiful. Great play area for the kids. great bar and food . Fantastic facilities for showering.
Disliked: We was placed right up near the main road even though there was many spots, the road was super noisy at night . Would have preferred to be closer to the play area as I have a 3 year old it would have been nice for her to make friends and this would have happened if we was closer to the play area.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: We are sorry the road can be noisy even at night with the tourist traffic there is a buffer zone & hedge and it will depend on when you book as site 1 with the play area gets booked first so bookings made later are placed on site 2 were instead of play swings etc there is room for ball games and for family games, We do try to space out pitches and we would have tried to move you if you had asked?. Pitches are sometimes vacant but paid for therefore we have to hold the booking for 24hrs by Pitchup T&C's, so our hands are tied. We would like to build a play park or agility course in site 2 but monitoring it would be difficult (& some parents forget to watch their children) we then become liable, but we are trying.
We are happy to see you would visit again and recommend our site to friends and family but do try to book earlier and ask if possible for the site 1 with the play park on.
Until we see you again Happy camping and safe travels with our best wishes

Disliked: Nothing. It was perfect.

Liked: Good sized flat pitches, good facilities, clean toilets
Disliked: smell of manure, but hey were camping in the countryside was not a problems atall for me.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and the good country air :) The farmers around have only certain time to get the field ready for crops I afraid part of the prep is spreading manure normally it rains and the smell is then washed into the ground but hay-hoe the sun shone brightly and the smell lingered, but it put food on the table so I'm glad it didn't bother you so much. Thanks for the review and we hope to see you on your next visit. Until then happy camping and very safe travels.
