What customers say
Plenty of room on flat sites, super staff & great pub grub. Ideal base for Durdle Door, Lulworth. Toilets/showers a bit dated, sometimes low water pressure. Some road noise near the main road.

Very expensive considering the poor facilities.
Powered grass site
Liked Nice tidy site. Good pub serving good food.
Disliked Toilet/shower facilities very poor. Not enough toilets/showers for size of site, and poor quality. Confusing door codes and questionable cleaning.

Great spot and plenty of space
Unpowered concrete slab motorhome site
Liked Great spot.
Toilets were clean and easy to use
Disliked We were coming back after 10pm so had to sleep in the car park.
EE not working well in these parts

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time and trouble to leave a review. There must be some confusion; I do not know why you had to sleep in the car park as the campsite is accessible after10.00pm to campers who have checked-in. I am afraid the signal for some mobile phone providers is not very good in the more country parts of Dorset but the pub does offer complimentary WiFi that can be used by campers. Thank you again for leaving your review and we look forward to seeing you at some point in the future.
Not worth the 39£ per night
Powered gravel and sand caravan site
Liked Easy access, neat to the things we wanted to do and see.
Nice pub food and beer
Disliked Facilities quite bad, low standard.
Pitches near parking very loud, as folks sitting in their car listening to loud music half the night, road traffic very loud, swaped pitches for the second night.
Waste depot is a huge mess

Liked Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were good and having the pub right there for food and drinks was very convenient. Was easy to find and just a short drive away from the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

Corner unpowered grass tent or motorhome site
Liked Friendly staff, nice big space for tent and car to park next to it.
Disliked Busy road next to the camping field, only bathroom/shower needs updating/fixing
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you for taking the time and trouble to leave a review. The pub is a traditional coaching inn and as such is on the local country road network. Whilst this ahs the advantage of enabling easy access to local attractions, the roads can at times be noisy. There are 2 shower blocks (as indicated on the Campsite Arrival Map) providing 4 showers in total; you have not left the detail of what needs fixing but I understand that a wheel had come off one of the shower screens and this has been fixed. I hope this provides clarity to your feedback and we look forward to seeing you in the future.

Liked The location was great, very close to durdle door etc.
Easy check in and affordable price
Disliked A few issues only one washing up sink, limited toilets and showers for the amount of campers. Food In the pub for breakfast took over an hour to come with a relatively quiet pub. The coffee that came had clumpy milk that looked gone off, and the drinks took 30 minutes to come. The young lad who worked at the bar was lovely very helpful and apologetic.

Liked I liked having the pub on site the food was amazing and the camp site was friendly
The location was excellent for visiting the beaches durdle door and Lulworth cove and camp bestival
Disliked You can hear the road noise however not a deal breaker

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time and trouble to leave a review. We are delighted that you enjoyed the pub and campsite. As a traditional coaching inn the site is near the local roads and whilst this has the advantage of giving excellent access to the local attractions at times the road can be noisy. We are pleased this did not detract from your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
Would stay again.
Powered grass site
Liked The perfect option for our stay, to the nearby areas we planned. Great size, didnt feel like you were on top of each other. Staff were friendly.
Disliked Bathroom blocks basic, 1x shower not working which created a back log of people waiting. Needs some TLC. Pitch was quite stoney struggled in certain areas especially as it was so dry already.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you for taking the time and trouble to leave a review and glad you enjoyed the pitches. The site is very central to the local attractions. There are 4 showers available on a 24-hour basis in two separate blocks and unfortunately one shower did need fixing so that did leave 3 overnight. As you say the ground has been extremely hard lately exacerbating the impact of any stones that have been underground. I hope this provides some clarity to your feedback and we look forward to seeing you at some point in the future.
