  • Rural dog-friendly adults-only site in Sherfield English
  • Half an hour's drive from Salisbury and 10 minutes from the New Forest
  • Cosy country pub within a 15-minute stroll
To Hampshire for a holiday in a rather relaxed, kid-free spot? Meadow Tree Farm is a nearly-wild site with basic facilities on a working beef farm. Friendly and adults-only, it is spread over 21 acres on the edge of the village of Sherfield English, about 10 minutes' drive from Romsey. There's plenty of space for you (and any doggie companions you may have brought along) to chill out on site and, most importantly, a café a short walk away. Fishing lakes are next door and there are fab trails for ramblers and cyclists a few miles away in the New Forest National Park. Back at base, the laidback vibe is preserved by keeping facilities to a minimum, but the essentials are all in place, including toilets, showers and a washing-up area. Sounds good? You'd better be quick: Meadow Tree Farm is a pop-up site that's only open for a limited amount of time each year.

What customers say

Chill adults-only spot with bushland vibes & ace hosts. Pick your own site, bring the dog. Basic, clean loos, set to get even better. A bit boggy when chockers, and showers were a squeeze. Fire pits welcome, adds to the charm.

Powered grass motorhome site

Liked Quiet, relaxed and friendly. First time staying here but we will 100% be back. The site is split into two halves with campers and roof top tents in one half and cosy woodland camping for ground tents in the other half. Electric hookup was available and reliable. The woods were very shaded so even in this heat wave it was nice and cool in there. The owners were very responsible and made sure nobody was increasing the fire risk with open flames (coal/wood BBQs and camp fires) being banned across the area. The toilets were basic but the water was hot and they were checked regularly. No complaints here

Unpowered grass motorhome site

Liked Very friendly welcome, lots of spots to choose from (shade or sun), quiet location, pretty view over the ponds. Nice mix of solo campers and larger groups. Groups were quiet at night. Cows next door were chatty in the morning!

Disliked The facilities are a bit basic but they were perfect for what I needed on my stay

Unpowered forest floor tent site (woodland)

Liked Liked that you could pick where to pitch your tent ⛺️
Lovely under the trees, nice welcome on arrival.
This site has so much potential, very close to local areas.
As a female single camper, I did feel very safe throughout my stay.
My dog had a fabulous time!

Disliked I personally found the site much louder and noisier than expected however there were large groups so I guess it was to be expected.

The toilets were really busy, the site was packed which is very good for the campsite however not enough toilets and showers to facilitate the volume of people on the particular day that I went.

Liked Quiet campsite, simple but working toilets shower and washing up area. Plenty of freedom to choose where to pitch. Friendly welcome on arrival and a check in later in the evening to make sure everything is OK.

Unpowered forest floor tent site (woodland)

Liked Excellent site, good facilities, lovely layout, very friendly and chatty owners, being for over 21's only, amazing price and the awesome Frank the dog

Disliked Nothing disliked, it would've been good to have a campfire (Normally allowed) but due to the prolonged dry weather, it was too much of a fire risk to have one, but completely understandable and sensible too.
