What customers say
Top spot near Keswick. Clean loos, good value. Some folk found it noisy at night. No showers, hard ground for pegs. Manager's sorting it.

Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked The site was very easy to find and the location was great. Very handy.
Booking online was straightforward.
The price for one pitch is reasonable.
The toilets were clean and bright.
Disliked I had two single tents and had to pay for two pitches, despite our square footage being smaller than a six man tent paying for one pitch; this seems a little inflexible.
The parking was not helpful; I had to leave my car on a side street about three minutes walk away.
The site is promoted as family friendly yet there was a group of lads who were drinking and shouting until the small hours. They left bottles and cans everywhere and uncooked chicken. I would certainly not let children play on the grass as a result.

Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked Location is great. Easy to find.
Very clean toilets.
Price is competitive for one plot without question.
Site was maintained well; short grass and clear boundary fence.
Disliked Parking was a challenge. I was able to park earlier in the day but had to park on a side street on arriving back in the evening. The lack of marked bays is an issue. Could be easily remedied.
Although we had two single person tents had to pay for two plots. Seems a little unreasonable when our two tents combined took up less space than a six man tent paying for one plot. Doesn’t really make sense, and the lack of flexibility on this seemed a bit unreasonable.

I would stay here again but I hope the owners learn from my review.
Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked Location to Keswick, flat ground, facilities were great and parking was no problem
Disliked Now I feel this was the organisers fault as there was a group of lads on the “family friendly” site which had a quite time set when we all had to be respectful of the other campers and well these lads just didn’t give a shit! putting it bluntly. Both nights we were there they came back at about 2pm and drank more while laughing and being very load , totally ignoring anyone that told them to please be quite their are small kid on the site. Also they left their pitch a mess food, cans and uncooked meat just laying about.

A good bolthole but not a site you are going to spend time at.
Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked Good little site in town and no parking on the pitches made it more enjoyable. Facilities basic but fine for a night or two. Lots of room and flat ground.
Disliked Road noise particularly from the northern Keswick bypass was a nuisance overnight. Car park area got a bit crowded and some people had to park off site.

Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked The location is perfect for central Keswick. Very friendly guy came around and checked on us.
Toilets are clean. I liked that it's a small site and not too overcrowded.
Disliked The car park seemed small. I imagine if it's busier it could become unmanageable. Although the guy did come around and check on cars and car registrations
