What customers say
Great spot, easy walk to town. Toilets always get a tick for being clean. Some reckon tents are a bit close and noise can be an issue late. Parking's tight in busy periods. Decent value for a quick break.

Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked Loved it nice parking area field is fenced off with multiple water points. Toilets were clean. Obviously there is no showers but for a short stay it’s no problem that wet wipes can’t solve 😁just a 10 min walk into Keswick centre it’s ideal
Disliked Only issue is ground beneath grass is very stony so need to be careful fitting tent pegs

Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked The site was very easy to find and the location was great. Very handy.
Booking online was straightforward.
The price for one pitch is reasonable.
The toilets were clean and bright.
Disliked I had two single tents and had to pay for two pitches, despite our square footage being smaller than a six man tent paying for one pitch; this seems a little inflexible.
The parking was not helpful; I had to leave my car on a side street about three minutes walk away.
The site is promoted as family friendly yet there was a group of lads who were drinking and shouting until the small hours. They left bottles and cans everywhere and uncooked chicken. I would certainly not let children play on the grass as a result.

Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked Location is great. Easy to find.
Very clean toilets.
Price is competitive for one plot without question.
Site was maintained well; short grass and clear boundary fence.
Disliked Parking was a challenge. I was able to park earlier in the day but had to park on a side street on arriving back in the evening. The lack of marked bays is an issue. Could be easily remedied.
Although we had two single person tents had to pay for two plots. Seems a little unreasonable when our two tents combined took up less space than a six man tent paying for one plot. Doesn’t really make sense, and the lack of flexibility on this seemed a bit unreasonable.

Great Stay
Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked The site was in a great location not far from Keswick, easy walk in and back again. The camp site is level and we found the staff who came round helpful and friendly. Shame about the lack showers but we were aware before booking, will definitely come back to stay. Had a relaxing three days
Disliked Didn't look like they recycled as it was all in the same bin. Could see how the parking could be a issue, but was ok for our stay. Toilets clean, well maintained each morning.

Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked Location to Keswick, flat ground, facilities were great and parking was no problem
Disliked Now I feel this was the organisers fault as there was a group of lads on the “family friendly” site which had a quite time set when we all had to be respectful of the other campers and well these lads just didn’t give a shit! putting it bluntly. Both nights we were there they came back at about 2pm and drank more while laughing and being very load , totally ignoring anyone that told them to please be quite their are small kid on the site. Also they left their pitch a mess food, cans and uncooked meat just laying about.

From the manager: Hi Paul,
Thank you for your feedback and we are very sorry to hear about the disturbance of the of the other campers, we do have a night warden on site who does his best to keep disturbances like this in order but sounds like on this occurrence unfortunately these were not considerate people!
Thanks again for letting us know

Location: good. Facilities: minimal. Price: ridiculous.
Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked The location is the reasonable - a genuine ten minute walk into the town. It was also very quiet the night I was there.
Disliked Wildly overpriced for a night in a car park with no showers. As a campervan, I turned up and was told to set up within the gravel car park which was full of litter and weeds, and categorically not secure. The toilet block (clearly purchased from a wedding hire company) was reasonable, and there was a fresh water tap. But thirty quid to park in a grubby car park with very limited facilities? No thanks. Twenty quid would feel steep, but you’d pay it for the location. Anything above that feels like blatant profiteering. Sorry.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations, although we would like to clarify a few points for anyone reading your comments.
Regarding the weeds, this time of year can be particularly challenging, and the growth can become quite noticeable. However, the weeds on the site had been treated. You may have noticed from their colour that they were already dying following treatment. We are continually working to maintain the site and improve its appearance.
As for the toilet facilities, we have never advertised that we provide showers, so we’re a little surprised that the absence of showers has been highlighted as a criticism. We provide toilet facilities and a fresh water taps and we believe the facilities we offer are clearly reflected in the price and the description of the site.
The toilet block may not be the most luxurious facility, but we have chosen a practical and clean solution rather than using a portaloo ? We are a small business, and we have to balance providing suitable facilities with keeping our prices realistic.
We also feel it is worth pointing out that we are located in the heart of Keswick, within a genuine ten-minute walk of the town centre. Campsites in such a convenient location and we work hard to keep our pitches as affordable as possible while still running a sustainable business.
We fully accept that our site may not be for everyone ?but describing the price as “blatant profiteering” is unfair. We are a business with costs to cover, and our prices are set with the location, facilities and local market in mind.
We appreciate all feedback and will continue to work on the areas we can improve.
