A serene, no-frills escape in lovely woods, loved by owners. Well-equipped facilities like forest school, play areas & gear hire. Mostly great stays, though some noted privacy, hot water & signal hiccups. Tops for families.

Great place for all ages and loads of equipment on site
Squirrels Family ready tent
Liked Very spacious tent, lots of more private outdoor space for our plot, excellent cooking facilities for a camping spot and the showers/toilets were well kept. There were lots of camping chairs for use and bed pumps, cleaning equipment etc. Everything has been very well thought through. Beautiful place and we felt very safe.

Family friendly, bringing it back to nature
Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked What a great campsite. Facilities were amazing, clean and well maintained. Pitch was spacious and the host could not have been more attentive. The children loved being amongst the forest and especially seeing the hares along with park. We will be back!

I can wait to come back! So happy :-)
Badgers Hollow shepherd's hut
Liked The cabin, beautiful bedding, amazing forest, lovely owners and so much wildlife! There’s nothing to dislike about this place, you can stay in the cabin, already pitched up tents or bring your own tent. We loved the cabin, the bed was so comfy and the bonus we didn’t have to put the tent down! Not a bad word to say, I can’t wait to come back!
Disliked Nothing everything was absolutely perfect. Only thing I can say was a shame was the fire pit ban but that had nothing to do with the site at all just the unpredictable Britain weather!

Squirrels Family ready tent
Liked Absolutely fabulous site. So peaceful and quiet and very relaxing in beautiful surroundings. Site owners are wonderful and helpful. Big shout out to Mike who pointed me in the right direction to a car auto spares after my car had a mechanical. Great place to explore from. Plenty of shops a short distance away and some very welcoming pubs for great food.
Disliked Absolutely nothing.

The site lived up to everything…
Foxes Den camping pod
Liked The site lived up to everything it promised, quiet and peaceful, beautiful woodland setting and lots of wildlife. The camping pod had everything you could possibly need, comfy outdoor chairs, table, plates and cutlery. The fire pit and bbq are a nice touch with the first trug of logs free! The blow up mattress in the pod was comfortable, and stayed up! We slept so well. Definitely recommended for those who like an outdoors, off grid break, we will be returning.
Disliked Mosquitoes (can't be helped but bring plenty of repellent).

From the manager: Those blasted mosies, they can be a pain at certain times of year. So sorry!
Overall we are delighted you enjoyed your stay. Thank you. J&A
We spent the weekend here with…
Unpowered grass and earth tent site
Liked We spent the weekend here with our family and had an amazing time. The location is so peaceful, and all day long you can hear the birds singing. It was lovely that a BBQ and log burner were provided, making our stay even more enjoyable.
Our 10-year-old son absolutely loved spending time in the Forest School, and the children’s play area was another great place for the kids to have fun. We also really appreciated the outdoor kitchen, where you could borrow anything you had forgotten – such a thoughtful touch!
Everything was well looked after, and it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. We’re already looking forward to coming back for another stay. Highly recommended!
