Lovely owners, beautiful site, variety of pitches. Perfect.
Non-electric grass and earth tent pitch
Liked Me, my partner, my little one and my dog absolutely loved this site. It's nice and cosy, it's decorated beautifully, and has a multitude of pitches. There are plots that are nice and big and spacious and flat, they have the different cabins which are all unique, then they have the pitches a bit more set into the woods. We wanted a "wild camping" experience for our son, and had the squirrels pitch right at the back tucked into the woods and it was perfect. It was nice and private and gave us the wild camping, rugged experience we wanted. The site was beautifully maintained. There were kitchen huts that were clean and lots of materials to borrow such as chairs, camping stoves, pans etc which we weren't expecting so that was a huge help. There was a mix of toilets, eco friendly compost ones and normal toilets which is amazing, as well as accessible toilets. One little thing I loved was the free menstrual hygiene items in the bathroom which actually came in handy during our stay when we're in the middle of the woods. Everyone we met, the owners and the person on site were really lovely, friendly, welcoming and helpful. They also have a forest school on site, which, as someone who works with young people who access different forest schools through schools and sites like this, this forest school is easily the best I've ever seen. The area was huge, with so many different huts, activities, and play areas. I was genuinely very impressed. It's also located in way where you feel out in the middle of nowhere, but if you are running low of supplies, shops are very close by. Overall, we absolutely loved this experience and will definitely be visiting again soon.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Binky made your pitch her home for your stay. It's a sweet photo. Thank you for the lovely food and we hope to see you again, but not on willow harvest day, honestly, it happens every four to five years on the very day you stayed 🙈

From the manager: Hi,
Thank you for your review, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay and we hope the others would not put you off from coming again. The family you are talking about will not be visiting again, their total lack of respect is not what we value on our site!!!
We hope, however, that we will see you again. Judie & Anthony
