What customers say
A quiet, tidy, adults-only spot with heaps of room. Staff are legend, and the on-site tucker's top-notch. Facilities are mostly clean, though a bit old school. Enjoy the chill vibes and lake. Occasional train rumbles and patchy WiFi are noted. Pool costs are a talking point.

Not adults only
Powered grass caravan site
Liked Mostly quiet friendly site.
Disliked We were specifically advised it was an adult only site but there were multiple children on site during our stay. Looked like they were owners children in static caravans in front of us. I have children but we booked here for adults only for a child free weekend which we felt mis sold as it wasn’t the case.

Liked Nice and peaceful, staff lovely bit of mix up with pitches but all was sorted. Feels like a community going again end of August. Had a great meal at The Croft. Highly recommended.

A gem of a site that we will certainly be re-visiting.
16-amp fully-serviced gravel and concrete caravan site
Liked A gem of a site, we had a lovely lake side pitch.
Disliked The keypad for entrance through the barrier was quite recessed, so had to get out of the car to operate. A RFid/Tag system might be better. Some train noise, not too bad though.

Pleasant
10-amp fully-serviced gravel and concrete caravan site
Liked Big flat pitch. Warm welcome. Lovely trees and lake to wander around.
Disliked Nothing really. It just wasn’t busy and there were loads of empty caravans and statics everywhere which made it feel a bit deserted.

Dodgy Showers with Slippery Floors. Claim waiting to happen!
16-amp fully-serviced gravel and concrete caravan site
Liked Quiet, hard standing, dedicated drain for each touring pitch
Disliked (1) VERY SLIPPERY FLOOR area between showers and toilets in Gents. I slipped and fell and twisted knee as a result and as a pensioner (like me), that can be catastrophic. I told the site and reported it on an accident form, I didn't even get a response of "how are you?". Spent 2 days having to stay in bed on painkillers, what a waste of a holiday. The floor is not fit for purpose in the central area (I know, I am a floor safety expert and would never achieve a 36 PTV test), the same floor is used when you leave the swimming pool and go to collect shoes, which is also getting wet. This site supposedly has an AA quality rating, the AA obviously doesn't understand floor safety and this floor has been fitted for a long time, so how many others have slipped? This site probably makes hundreds of thousands of pounds but cant spend a measly few hundred quid to provide a safe floor.
(2) Poor phone / wi-fi signal
(3) Water stand pipes so low to the ground, I had to use a water bottle to fill my water containers
