What customers say
This little campsite's a ripper – quiet, tidy, and plenty of room. Campers rave about the spotless loos, the legends running the place, and the cute alpacas. Kids love the playground, and it’s a great base for exploring. A few reckon more toilets would be handy when it's packed, and a couple mentioned the shower temp now and then.

Powered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked The welcoming atmosphere, peaceful scenery and lovely family feel. Owner was extremely helpful.
Really lovely park for the kids and good dog walk for toilet breaks.
Close to some lovely places.
Disliked Only two toilets but not a deal breaker.
You need to ring the owner on arrival there is no reception, not a big deal but we were a little confused at first.

Great campsite
Alpaca Fields unpowered grass tent site
Liked What a great place! I arrived late (in the dark and on my bike) so once I’d managed to set up by use of The Force and a small bike light, I found the lovely Shower Shack for a glorious hot shower. The loos were very clean too. I left early in the morning so didn’t have chance to pay the balance - I contacted the site by email once I got home and paid by bank transfer. All good.

Excellent, peaceful site with added bonus of alpacas as neighbours.
Alpaca Fields unpowered grass tent site
Liked Peaceful, attractive site. Good, clean amenities. Friendly, helpful host. Lovely just to hear birdsong.
Disliked Nothing to dislike though 2 toilets/showers might not be enough if site fuller.

Left feeling disapointed
Powered concrete and grass caravan site
Liked All was good. Clean and looked after
Disliked We booked a hardstanding and grass for our camper £35 and was put on the grass pitch. So we are £5 out of pocket.
Also would have been nice for tbe owner to actully say hello and explain why we where on the grass.

From the manager: Well we don’t do one night stays on bank holidays all the hard standing pitch was full. You was happy to go on a grassy pitch. You came late and left early so I didn’t get chance to come and say hello. You haven’t paid us. You’ve paid a deposit to pitch up and you’re the only person in the last 10 year that as given a review like that when we’re busy at bank holidays do you think it’s fair for you to come for one night and stops people coming for three nights?
