What customers say
Stanfree Farm's a ripper for a peaceful escape, with friendly hosts and comfy pods/shepherd's huts. Toilets and showers are usually spotless. The farm shop and food van are big hits. Some found pitches a bit wonky or the road noisy, but most rave about the chill vibes and great value. They're sprucing things up too!

Found our yearly family fishing getaway!
Angus camping pod
Liked Absolute gem of a place! ❤️
The check-in process was really easy and straightforward, and when we arrived our Angus pod was ready, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Pots, cutlery, glasses etc. are all provided and tucked away under the cooker, which was really handy.
The beds were nice and comfortable, and we loved the little outdoor area overlooking the fields. We made good use of the firepit and, of course, had toasting marshmallows — because no little getaway is complete without them! 🔥
The onsite fishing was so peaceful, and the highlight for us was watching our little boy catch his first ever fish! 🎣 It was lovely having somewhere outdoors where we could just spend time together and escape the screens for a while.
The butchers shop and the staff are absolutely brilliant. Everyone made us feel so welcome, and the tomato sausages were lush! 🤤
We happened to stay during the opening of the new pub. We had our little one with us, so we didn't get to make use of it ourselves (even though we knew kids are welcome), but the live music sounded brilliant and everyone looked like they were having a fantastic time. I'm sure it will be a huge success.
The shared toilet and shower facilities were well maintained and, as we stayed during the opening of the new pub, they were understandably quite busy at times. We occasionally had to wait, but it really wasn't an issue for us. We took a little portable camping toilet with us, which was especially handy at night with our little one, and we'd definitely recommend doing the same if you're bringing young children.
Overall, we made so many lovely memories with our little boy that we're sure he'll remember for years to come. It was exactly the kind of little break we needed, and we 100% will be back! ❤️🎣
Disliked Nothing! We would love to come back!

Peaceful, relaxed site
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Quiet, no fuss site with easy walk to supermarkets in Clowne
Relaxed and easy going. We commented how nice it was finding a campsite not plastered with signs and rules !
Facilities were good , full marks would have been given if they had been cleaned more during our 10 day stay.
