Μου άρεσε Quiet, neat, tidy and well organised site. Very well laid out, great facilities and friendly staff. Pitches absolutely enormous and well kept: first campsite I've ever been to with both electricity AND water at every pitch. Absolutely nothing to complain about.

Μου άρεσε Quiet, peaceful, very friendly, and all-round very well-kept. As advertised, facilities are basic, but perfectly functional and pleasant to use. Denise is a wonderful host, always approachable, friendly, and happy to chat (despite how busy she is!) Pitch was immaculate, grass perfectly kept, level and roomy. I don't often revisit sites, but intend to make an exception for this one. Outstanding.

Μου άρεσε Quiet site with excellent facilities and friendly staff. Nice location close to plenty of local sites of interest (especially Galloway Forest Park). Heard horror stories about midges, but must have missed the season as didn't encounter any. Decently close to facilities in Newton Stewart. Despite how much rain we got, the field never got truly boggy.

Δεν μου άρεσε Difficult to find any decently flat ground on which to pitch tent, especiallyclose to hook-up point: very uneven and hilly tent space. Not so bad for smaller tents, but larger ones would struggle.

Μου άρεσε Well laid out and well organised site with enormous pitches (could easily have fitted another tent or two on mine). Flat and level throughout. Though it was almost completely full on Saturday, didn't feel crowded or loud. Ample facilities - never had to wait for toilet or shower. Plenty of waste and recycling options: well organised and labelled.

Δεν μου άρεσε Not their fault obviously, but proximity of motorway makes for constant low-level background noise, most noticeable at night. A lot of people would barely notice it, but unfortunately I'm sensitive to noise.

The noise level really depends on what the wind direction is so unfortunately it is out of our control but hopefully the other positive aspects of our campsite make up for it :) Thank you for your stay and hope to see you again.

Μου άρεσε Absolutely nothing not to like about this site. Compact without being crowded, so even when busy there's tonnes of room but you never have to walk far for amenities. Nicest facilities I think I've seen at such a reasonably priced site - and always totally spotless. Both Julie & Gary warm, friendly and welcoming (as well as being hilarious!), both very hands on with their work. Their campers are considered friends, and they have many regular returners. Nicely situated with food shops no more than ten minutes drive, plus walking distance to train station and less than 10 miles from major motorway connections.

Μου άρεσε Everything. You can’t fault this site for anything - it is exactly as advertised. Wanted somewhere peaceful, with the basics and no frills, which is exactly what this site offers. Owners are very friendly, always helpful and available for anything you need.

Μου άρεσε Cecilia is lovely, very approachable, and makes gorgeous pizza. Can't fault anything from this campsite, despite the grotty weather. Food at the local pub was excellent, and both other local villages also lovely.

Μου άρεσε Flat, well drained campsite, excellent facilities, abundant hot water in showers. Plenty of room on pitches. Very friendly owners.

Δεν μου άρεσε Only quandary was it was not made clear where you had to go to pay: I had to pull up in the tent field and ask another camper. Relatively minor thing, really.

Μου άρεσε No time wasted on arrival - name confirmed, facilities explained and left to own devices. Very quiet (though this was mid-week and out of season), except for farmyard animals in early morning (which can hardly be helped). Even with large caravan site next door, never had any noise. Shower and toilet facilities clean and warm, water always hot. Free use of tumble dryer helps when avoiding wet items in a cold tent! Never had any problems (though was only there 2 nights), so can't comment on customer service/problem solving.
