Camping du Signal

Μου άρεσε Decent size pitch. Less than 10 minutes walk from the beautiful lake. Very reasonable price and cheaper than Pitchup quoted. Ablutions are comprehensive, though basic. Friendly and helpful staff.

Δεν μου άρεσε Barely warm water and very poor water pressure. The approach to the site is off-putting; thankfully, the site is better inside than out, though a bit shabby.
Pitchup charged a deposit, which the campsite claimed it did not receive and ‘wasn’t normal’ practice. No WiFi signal from the site WiFi….

Μου άρεσε Location, great view of the side of the mountain and 10 mins walk to the lake.

Δεν μου άρεσε Staff where abrupt. The facilities where not even 1 star, run down and in need of modernisation, lacked cleaning and didn't feel safe the children.

Μου άρεσε Wonderful experience thanks to the Manager, Madame Mireille who constantly surveyed the camping site to ensure all was well.
Any issue was handled immediately and checked the issue was sorted.
Our dog Teddy was given a great welcome and enjoyed his many long walks in nature.
We look forward to returning next year.

Μου άρεσε This is an older municipal site which has a local authority improvement programme. The facilities are old but not dirty or unsanitary in any way. The showers are old fashioned. Madame Mireille, the manager, indeed doesn't speak English. I speak a small amount of French and she gave me time to work out what to say. She was always helpful and polite.
The lake is 10 mins walk away and is amazing. Small coffee / snack stands dot around the edge so you can get a cool can when you want. Water is clear and a refreshing distraction to the heat of the day.
Pitches are scruffy but level, hedge lined and spacious. They have updated the Motorhome service point which is excellent and if this is the level they are aiming at for the rest of the improvements then this will be an exceptional site.

Μου άρεσε The scenery around the site was incredible.

Δεν μου άρεσε The site was scruffy, the pitches were flat but hedges were overgrown with brambles, nettles and knotweed.
The toilets were an absolute disgrace. Shared facilities without doors, squatting toilets and not clean. There is a notice that the city is aware of the state of the facilities and will be updating for 2024. Pitchup should share this information before accepting bookings.

Δεν μου άρεσε The manager was so rude I had to ask her to stop shouting at me. She didn’t speak any English at all and I have very little French (which is my problem not hers) but she was very impatient and unhelpful. We had booked for two nights but only stayed for one. The facilities were pretty disgusting!

Μου άρεσε The lake nearby is stunning, people in the local shops are very friendly

Δεν μου άρεσε Despite what it says the lady doesn't speak a word of English but that's by the by she is rude , she overcharges even though you pay beforehand she will say pitch up is wrong, she shouts at kids for playing ( French and English kids ) we paid for 4 nights and left after 2 never felt so uncomfortable at a campsite

Μου άρεσε What a fabulous experience. Location excellent, the lake and mountain close by were stunning. Marielle the receptionist what is there to say, she was very professional, attentive to all the customers. She was a delight to deal with. Thank you for an excellent breakfast.

Μου άρεσε Electricity and water available. Level pitches separated by small hedges. Walking distance to town centre and restaurants. Inexpensive.

Δεν μου άρεσε Shower and toilet facilities need to be upgraded. Receptionist could not speak any English (my fault, I should speak the native language). No shop on site.
