What a cinch it is to get to the most excellent city of Aix-en-Provence from Camping le Cézanne, 350 metres above sea level on Sainte-Victoire mountain: an hourly shuttle bus runs from site to the city. If you're a day tripper (as you certainly should be at this splendidly set place), flip open your itinerary notebook and list all the other destinations it's a cinch to get to from here too: Marseilles within 45 minutes, the fishing town of La Ciotat, the shopping and medieval Old Town of Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, the Mediterranean port of Cassis and its white wine… On Montagne Sainte-Victoire, this is a great spot for hiking, climbing or walks in the vineyards. Active and outdoorsy days easy to access include golf, horse riding, mountain biking and tennis nearby, or hikes and climbs further afield around the extensive Sainte-Baume mountain ridge and its cliffs, ancient woodlands and spectacular natural sights such as the Gorges du Caramy and Tombereau waterfall. The Luberon Regional Natural Park, in Provence, is less than an hour's drive to the north. Camping le Cézanne is in the Bouches-du-Rhône region of south-east France, under 15 minutes' walk to the shops and restaurants of local village Puyloubier. If you don't care to amble even that far, a pizzeria-restaurant and a bar are on site, along with gas cylinder sales. Takeaway is available too. The site has a pétanque court and a ping-pong table; the sports pitch, a skate park and an outdoor fitness centre are located at the foot of the campsite.

Από τον διαχειριστή: Bonjour, Nous sommes navrés d'apprendre que votre nuit au sein de notre camping n'ait pas répondue à vos attentes et nous vous remercions pour vos remarques. Lors de votre nuit du 12 août au 13 août, notre camping affichait complet pour les emplacements avec véhicule. Vous avez réservé votre nuit la veille à 16h. Malheureusement, nous ne disposions plus d'emplacements ombragés à cette date, la priorité est donnée aux séjours de plusieurs jours et par date de réservation. Mon mari et moi gérons ce petit camping de 30 emplacements et assurons tous les deux sans faire appel à des salariés toutes les missions relatives à la gestion du camping : l'accueil physique et téléphonique, l'entretien du camping et des sanitaires quotidiennement, le gardiennage du camping 24h/24, la gestion administrative et marketing, le bar et le restaurant... Le bar est ouvert 5 fois par semaine de 17h à 19h y compris le jour de votre venue et il est fréquent que nous servions nos clients en dehors de ces horaires si nous sommes présents à l'accueil et que nos clients nous le demandent. De plus, nous sommes à la disposition de nos clients de 9h à 12h et de 14h à 19h pour l'accueil physique tous les jours 8 mois par an. Malheureusement, nous ne pouvons pas faire mieux pour cette première année de reprise du camping (depuis le 01/07/2024) et espérons pouvoir développer l'activité de ce magnifique camping pour proposer des services qui seraient peut-être mieux répondre à vos attentes. Aurore & Kévin - Gérants camping le Cézanne --------- Hola, Lamentamos saber que su noche en nuestro camping no cumplió con sus expectativas y le agradecemos sus comentarios. En su noche del 12 de agosto al 13 de agosto, nuestro camping estaba completamente reservado para parcelas con vehículos. Usted reservó su noche el día anterior a las 16h. Lamentablemente, no teníamos parcelas con sombra disponibles en ese momento, por lo que se da prioridad a las estancias de varios días y por fecha de reserva. Mi marido y yo gestionamos este pequeño camping de 30 parcelas, y juntos nos encargamos de todas las tareas que conlleva el funcionamiento del camping, sin tener que recurrir a ningún empleado: la recepción física y telefónica, el mantenimiento diario del camping y de las instalaciones sanitarias, el cuidado del camping las 24 horas del día, la gestión administrativa y de marketing, el bar y el restaurante... El bar está abierto 5 veces a la semana de 17:00 a 19:00, incluido el día de su visita, y a menudo atendemos a nuestros clientes fuera de este horario si estamos presentes en la recepción y nuestros clientes nos lo piden. Además, estamos a disposición de nuestros clientes de 9.00 a 12.00 y de 14.00 a 19.00 todos los días durante 8 meses al año. Desgraciadamente, no podemos hacerlo mejor para este primer año de toma a cargo del camping (desde el 01/07/2024) y esperamos poder desarrollar la actividad de este magnífico camping para ofrecer servicios que puedan responder mejor a sus expectativas. Μου άρεσε: A lovely quiet location. Aurore and Kevin were perfect hosts. Fresh croissants delivered to your door was a treat. Links into Aix are frequent, with good onward connections. We did see a lot of walkers, cyclists and runners enjoying the local countryside.

Take the frequent shuttle bus from the site to the splendidly scenic city of Aix, founded by the Romans way back in the BCs and famed as an arty and cultural centre in the centuries since (if you're a reader or writerly sort, you'll def want to sup a coffee in the Deux Garçons brasserie, a hangout space for intellectual types like Cézanne, Zola and Hemingway). Aix is also famed for its Festival d'Aix-en-Provence opera fest, in late June and July in fab settings such as the Théâtre de l'Archévêché in the former garden of the archbishop's palace. In other months, there are museums, galleries and libraries to dreamily potter around, including the Musée Granet which covers the painting, sculpture and the archaeology of Aix (hint: there's quite a lot). Around the same distance by road (45 minutes) will take you to Marseilles if you're of an urge to sightsee around France's second biggest city (hint: you really should). Also needing a look are La Ciotat and Cassis, both within 50 minutes, and the old spa town of Gréoux-les-Bains, about an hour away.
