Camping Paradis Aubeterre sur Dronne

Μου άρεσε Lovely campsite, friendly staff, level pitches, good, clean facilities, good river beach and river swimming, beach bar (looked popular but we didn't use it). Lovely walk into very pretty town. Spacious pitch. Good wifi, free for first day.

Δεν μου άρεσε This wouldn't be a dislike for many but our pitch was very shady so a bit gloomy!

Μου άρεσε Everything! Location, staff and facilities all excellent. Great venue for family and friends meet ups, dogs enjoyed it too. Decent power on pitch (10A), didn't use site WiFi. Level shady pitch, choose your own.

Δεν μου άρεσε No seats on toilets ( the French way , I know...) No water on pitch but tap very close by.

Μου άρεσε Nous avons aimé l’emplacement. Les sanitaires étaient propres. Le personnel étaient au top. L’infrastructure impeccable. Nous y retournerons.

Μου άρεσε Easy check in, receptionist very friendly and spoke basic English. Basically told to pick any pitch we wanted, which was easy enough. Facilities all good, warm water, clean. The beach was brilliant, clean river, kids loved it. Little platform for them to climb onto and jump off. The wier was great fun with lots of locals jumping off it and the diving board was a nice touch too.
We walked into the local town during the day and visited the underground church, I am not big on my history but it was amazing and well worth the visit (2 adults, 8 yr old & 3 yr old - €19). Went in the evening for dinner and the Prego Pizzeria was lovely. Be warned, it's a steep walk up!
We had only booked 1 night as we were planning moving around but we stayed an extra night.
We were given a free drink token to use at the bar but we never got around to trying the bar.

Μου άρεσε The campsite was in a very beautiful area. The toilet and showers were kept clean and spotless,by very hard working staff.

Δεν μου άρεσε Unfortunately a very disappointing stay, there was a massive lack of security, so anyone could enter the site, including us, until we realised and returned to the shop/desk to check in, we were just given a band on our arm, that actually had no idea the point of this. And just told to go find a pitch !!, there were rules in the campsite leaflet we were given, no one seemed bothered or interested in following any safety rules, dogs roaming the campsite free of leads, causing a nuisance, not everyone likes dogs. That’s why it said all dogs on leads at all times, bbq being lit, when it says no bbqs, no naked flames, no open fires, guessing this is all for the safety of campers, and the trees all around. But all disregarded. There was travellers that were on site, caused a lot of issues, police came and removed them. But yet again like I said, because of the fact there was no proper security on site. The noise levels were also an issue, screaming and shouting till early hours of morning, one two three times till 5am. All in all a very disappointing visit, and a shame because the site had potential to be something great !!!

Μου άρεσε Gorgeous location. Excellent riverside restaurant and location. Man made beach on the riverside.safe bathing.good sized shaded grassy pitch. Regularly Cleaned facilites. Loveley aubuterre village with history..really helpfull friendly staff

Emplacement spacieux, beaucoup d'arbres .

Μου άρεσε Large pitches and nice location on a river side with a beach. Cute village nearby.

Δεν μου άρεσε Some difficulties following a rainstorm with the electrics which took a while to sort out. Grounds team were great.
