Camping de Santenay

Μου άρεσε The link to the magnificent velo route through the vineyards to Beaune was a short and safe distance away.
The site was pleasantly quiet.

Δεν μου άρεσε We had prebooked, but arrived later in the day. Consequently, we struggled to find an electric hookup pitch which was adequately sized.
The sanitary block was adequate but needs updating.

Μου άρεσε We really liked our quick visit to Santenay. The campsite was beautiful surrounded by vineyard as well as clean and staff were helpful. We arrived late afternoon and managed to get to the town only 15mins away walking to enjoy some time exploring and had dinner and bought some local wine.

Μου άρεσε Great location with a walk into the village and some vineyards. Many other vineyards within a short drive.
Quiet site with all the required facilities.

Μου άρεσε Quiet site with no bar and tiny epicerie. Lovely views. Unfortunately the adjacent municipal open air pool was closed on Mondays. Ten minute walk into Santenay, a nice village square with good restaurants.

Μου άρεσε Conveniently located next-door to an inexpensive public swimming pool. We stayed for 3 nights in blistering heat but many of the pitches are well shaded between mature trees. Dated but clean facilities that seemed ample for the number of guests. There are different food vans that turn up each night. Very cheerful staff.

The area is lovely and perfect for cycling. There appeared to be a cycle path running alongside the nearby railway line that runs up and down the 'valley' but also a lovely old road named 'Route Des Grands Cru' that meanders through famous nearby appellations like Meursualt all the way to the town of Beaune past countless vineyards and winemaking estates.

The village of Santenay has a small convenience store. There's a Boulangerie, a a small cafe and a restaurant plus an excellent wine merchant where you can sit and drink some of the locally produced wine.

Beaune also has some charm with a host of places to eat and drink for all budgets.

Δεν μου άρεσε It would have been nicer if the site was slightly closer to Santenay village centre but it is easily walkable and probably took no more than 15-20 minutes

Μου άρεσε Het schone sanitair, de douche, de aanwezigheid van toiletpapier.

Δεν μου άρεσε De veel te weinig (2!) herentoiletten en afwasmogelijkheden (slechts 2 spoelbakken!) in het nieuwe sanitairgebouw. De stank van de container voor het restafval! Bah!

Μου άρεσε Really clean and quiet campsite with beautiful views of the vineyards. Santenay is a very affluent village with a few top class restaurants, and excellent butchers, bakers and mini- mart.
On a fantastic cycle route into Beaune. Great cycling country
