Μου άρεσε Great facilities - very clean with everything you could think of in the barn and nice fields to pitch up in. We had a great spot in the field behind the barn tucked under the trees because it was raining so we were close to the toilets but sheltered. Had a lovely fire thanks to the fire pits and wood you can hire and buy. Definitely going again next year.

Μου άρεσε Great campsite, our second stay! Easy check in, lovely facilities. Clean, great barn with cooking facilities and honesty shop. Pitches great, view great (not seen this trip due to the rain!).

Μου άρεσε Absolutely stunning views from this peaceful and wildlife focused site. All the birds flying about was just absolutely lush!
A really friendly lady met us when signing in and explained where we could/couldn’t pitch up, how the honesty shop worked, where the fridge was we could use and the showers/toilets. Great walks literally on the doorstep, we inadvertently nearly climbed a mountain while just popping out to get the lay of the land. The facilities were kept clean at all times and worked really nicely, nice warm shower first thing in the morning (not quite so warm late in the evening but still some warmth).
We genuinely loved this place and have already talked about returning as it makes for a great base and with the campers barn and fridge/stoves available to use you could easily get away with a much easier task of packing up the camping gear!
The camping barn by the way is brilliant, we sat in there one rainy morning and played cards while waiting for the weather to dry up a little bit before our long walk. It was nice seeing others cooking their food in there or kids playing games, really nice vibe here. Highly recommend and would feel entirely comfortable staying here as a single female (was with my partner this time).
My 4g worked well on site as well which I wasn’t expecting!
Oh and the dog loved it and we felt he was very welcome with a nice snuggly bed for him to lie on and keep warm on the chilly morning we spent in the campers barn!

Δεν μου άρεσε One toilet (middle one of the 3 closer to outdoors) has low pressure flush so could take a bit of waiting around and multiple flushes to clear a heavy load

Μου άρεσε Absolutely brilliant. The place is stunning g, spacious and the farmer has thought of everything to make the experience easy, relaxed and special.
I can’t wait to go back. It’s beautiful and good for the soul.

Μου άρεσε This was our second year at Pwllyn farm camping, what can I say! It was as amazing this year as the previous year. Great location for a peaceful week camping also positioned nicely so that 20-25mins drive & your in town or out the other way & surrounded by Welsh beauty! 100% coming back next year!

Μου άρεσε Beautiful scenery, widely spaced units so little risk of disturbing each other. We didn’t need it but the honesty box idea was nice, and the well-appointed Campers Barn was a nice focal point for people to cook and chat. Beautiful skies and very fresh air help you feel at one with nature. Great for walking and seeing Brecon and the stunning surroundings.

Δεν μου άρεσε We were here on a bank holiday weekend, it’s true, but there were woefully insufficient facilities for the number of campers. Freezing cold shower (gave up the first time as the queue was too long), long wait for washing up in cold water, even queues for the loos unless you go during the night because 2 of the 5 loos are in with the showers. It would be better to limit the numbers of campers to take account of the facilities available.

Also, we were surprised by the road noise (especially as it is currently closed nearby!), and almost continual distant dog barking through the evening and night. This is absolutely not the campsite’s fault, but none of the other reviews mention it so I am doing so.

Thank you for your 9/10 review.

I know that Ian managed to catch you before you left to speak to you regarding this review, but I just wanted to clarify a few points.

I am sorry that you might have had to wait for the toilet facilities, but you stayed on our busiest night of the year, and our facilities are in excess of the requirement stipulated by campsite provision guidelines – 4 toilets per 30 pitches are recommended (we offer 5 and have less than 30 pitches) and one shower per 25 pitches (we offer 2).

The cold water was a result of water leaking into the switch board. Within ten minutes of Ian being informed that there was no hot water the problem was rectified. We always appreciate it if campers can let us know if there is an issue so that we have a chance to improve the situation, rather than not mention it to us and then complain about it in a public review afterwards.

The council have been working on the road but completed the work so that it was open for the Bank Holiday. You must have been aware that it was open as you used it to access the site. It’s very unfortunate that although you had the choice of six fields to camp in, you choose to camp very close to the road, and as close as you could have gotten to the neighbouring farm whose dog you heard barking. Had you mentioned the noise as problematic we could have helped you relocate to one of the spaces in our large flower meadow, which is around half a mile away from the road, and even further from the farm with the dog.

We want everyone to enjoy their stay with us and if we are made aware of any issues or problems you may experience on site we will always do our best to improve matters for you if we are given the opportunity. Theresa.

Μου άρεσε A gorgeous site, well organised and easy to just rock up and pitch up! A real focus on nature which I loved and great facilities that were packed with interesting information on the local flora and fauna.
