We were in Pitch L1
I appreciate the facilities are being upgraded but...

The pitch was

Tiny..we were abou3 to 4 feet maximum away from a tent on thr next pitch on our right

15 to 20 ft on our left from th communla bins and pot wash

20ft behind us the temporary toilets and the door was opened and closed every few minutes including through the night
Each time to door opened and closed with a bang as its on a self closing latch

The clubhouse we asked for 3 types of wine that was after being told they did not have the one before. In the end said we woild have a Gin and slimline tonic instead

No Tonic!


What they do not tell you before you come is you are next to the main train line as well

Poor

The spacings of the pitchrs are a real fire hazard

Μου άρεσε Good site with good facilities nice bar and restaurant plenty of nice walks

Δεν μου άρεσε Supposed to be fishing but lake is un fish able due to the amount of Lillie’s and weeds
Lake good to with a tidy up to be able to fish

Μου άρεσε First time pitching a tent. Yes it’s on a hill and we knew this before going. Liked where we were pitched. Dog had space infront to run about whilst tied to ground hook.

Δεν μου άρεσε Shop low of products to buy and we’re waiting for a delivery.
Toilets were dirty with used sanitary pads lying on the shelf behind the system in all 3 toilets. No paper towels till Sunday.
No hand soap, bought and used my own and left 1 there for others to use. Asked staff and advised it was ordered.
Grass had just been cut for grass trailed into toilets and that’s to be expected.

Μου άρεσε Had an absolutely fantastic time. Really enjoyed the food, had a takeaway from the bar and the chilli loaded chips are amazing and the pepperoni pizza is delicious. The park is good, wild rabbits scamp about everywhere, it’s lovely. The view of the night sky is incredible. Bingo at the bar was great, had a fab time. They are dog friendly. Staff are lovely. Customer services are very helpful. Brilliant location. Will definitely stay again and would definitely recommend.

Δεν μου άρεσε The only let down is the toilets and showers which get very dirty with the amount of people using them, but they are not getting cleaned enough. The toilets and showers need to be getting cleaned and restocked at least once every single day but they weren’t cleaned for three days. The toilets ran out of soap, toilet tissue and hand tissues. The showers were full of hair, dirt and grass.

Μου άρεσε Almost everything. The park was hilly, but got parked and setup good. Lovely surroundings, the toilets and showers handy and clean. Found the walks good and no need to travel to them could walk from site.

Μου άρεσε Quietness of site, close by to Moffat to drive into town centre for a wonder . Site easily accessed just off motorway

Δεν μου άρεσε Poortakabins for showers and toilets one set for whole of tent pitches wasn’t very sufficient . When hard standing toilet blocks are there and just need renovated . Bar service was very slow and hours for shop on site were short with a limited selection of stuff . West coast train line very close by to site which left us with two nights of broken sleep due to high speed trains passing the site and very 5-10 minutes all day . Limited mobile signal and on site WiFi that your charged for was rubbish . Pitches weren’t cleared labelled leaving people to be crammed in next to each other

Δεν μου άρεσε Really disappointed with the site, bins overflowing for 3 days, really bad smell from the bins due to the hot weather, wasps hive above the bins, we asked if the bins could be moved due to our pitch being right beside the bins, we were told they have an allocated spot and can not be moved, there was a leak in the male toilet, the floor was soaking with urine, the maintenance guys eventually came and stood on the rubbish in the bins so the lids could close after 3 days, we were told there was fish in the pond then on day 3 we were told there was no fish ! We were off site early morning till late night to escape the smell and constant attack from wasps, my dog was stung on day 2 we had to travel home to the vet and left her at home with family

Μου άρεσε Park grounds looked after well. Staff friendly and helpful.

Constant noise from M 74 and next to a busy train line.

Μου άρεσε The site was nice - rabbits roaming in the evening if it’s quiet and lots of things for kids (playgrounds etc)… I am sure that the static caravans make it his a really good option for a few days away.

Δεν μου άρεσε The touring pitch facilities are inadequate. The established toilet block is no longer in use and has been replaced
By 2 portakabins. One for the gents and one for ladies. The gents one has two showers, two sinks, two urinals and two toilet cubicles. Woefully inadequate for the number of people they had accepted onto touring pitches.

There is 1 pot wash!

The touring field is a slope!

In addition to all of this the people touring left the toilets in a terrible state. Sick in the sinks, rubbish everywhere. They were not helped by the level of cleaning which seemed to be once a day - inadequate for the level of footfall.

Moffat Manor - please put up some signs. Generally people follow rules, but there are none and there are no reminder signs. Every decent campsite I go to has signs and reminders and they work!
