Loch Lomond Holiday Park

Μου άρεσε Non posso purtroppo dare una valutazione positiva al mio soggiorno presso Loch Lomond Holiday Park. I bagni non erano adeguati e le docce avevano addirittura l’acqua fredda. Inoltre, viaggiando con il camper, ho riscontrato che lo scarico delle acque grigie finiva direttamente sulla piazzola, una situazione davvero inaccettabile. Dal punto di vista ecologico, direi pessimo.


Unfortunately, I cannot give a positive review of my stay at Loch Lomond Holiday Park. The bathrooms were inadequate and the showers even had cold water. In addition, traveling with a camper, I found that the grey water drained directly onto the pitch, which is really unacceptable. From an ecological point of view, I would say very poor.

Μου άρεσε Stunning location for the views. Great for getting into loch lomond. Great shop with good prices . Spacious, level pitches surrounded by lovely hedges, great privacy.

Δεν μου άρεσε Toilet block very small with only 2 toilets and one shower.
Very limited for walking being right on the worst bit of the A82.

Δεν μου άρεσε Our pitch had been having repairs done and the staff left scrap waste pipe and cable behind so it looked scruffy. No toilet roll by 8pm and bins were over flowing,

Μου άρεσε Doggy goody bag was a lovely touch. Its a good location, very useful shop, activities on site and at the waterfront.

Δεν μου άρεσε Had to pay for the Internet. Also some might find it noisy with being next to main road and train line.

Δεν μου άρεσε The shower, just the one.
Location is on a busy road, not safe for walking, considering you would have to drive to visit anywhere it really wasn’t for us as we enjoy walking.
Tiny beach area.

Δεν μου άρεσε Site was nice, cold showers, We was asked to leave in a storm with no were to go, I asked if I could pay and park up in the car park and they said no. Won’t be going back

Μου άρεσε Our campervan is amazing! Pleased with our new awning although pitch was gravel with solid ground so impossible to put tent pegs in. We cooked a fabulous meal & our campervan bed is super comfortable. So all in all ..nothing to do with the campsite but my husband has made a fabulous camper.

Δεν μου άρεσε 14 campervan pitches 1 shower! Campers are 2nd class citizens in this chalet driven business. Couldn't be further away from the Loch. Traffic noise & train was within metres. Would not recommend this souless place. I'd rather go wild camping than pay £100 for 2 nights staying in my own camper with very limited facilities. We provided our own comfort. We are self sufficient with solar power. So wondering what we actually got for our £100!

Μου άρεσε The location is absolutely stunning! The site is directly on the banks of Loch Lomond and offers swimming and watersports. The views are incredible. All the touring pitches are fully serviced with EHU, fresh water and waste grid. The shower block is near to all the pitches and is clean and warm with lots of hot water.
The site is well lit at night time and there is a hand rail to the shower block as it can get slippery.

Δεν μου άρεσε The site caters mainly for the lodges and static holiday homes. The staff in the reception were unhelpful. In the booklet it said to contact reception with any issues, in particular with the TV signal. We went to reception 3 times for help with our TV and were told they didn't know how to help and that we should ask other caaravan/motorhome guests on the site. Also we asked for information on a safe walking route to nearby Inverulgas. The receptionist told us to climb over a barrier on a dangerous road in order to get there, suggesting there was a path which there wasn't.
Although the shower block was clean and had plenty of hot water there were only 2 toilets and one shower in the ladies and 1 toilet and 1 shower in the gents, not enough for 14 pitches.
Although the area is stunning and the watersports on offer were excellent the touring pitches are in need of upgrading and would benefit from some grassed areas.

We’re sorry there was some confusion regarding the TV signal — our pitches are supplied via Freesat rather than analogue. As for the walking route to Inveruglas, the directions given were correct — the path does exist and, while you do need to cross the road and step over the small railing, it opens up access to an abundance of beautiful walks in the area.

We appreciate your comments about the number of toilets and showers for the touring pitches and the suggestion for more grassed areas, and we’ll keep these in mind for future improvements.
