Caldbeck Camping

Μου άρεσε: Very friendly and informed person at the house. Easy to understand and great map of the site which clearly showed our pitch and where the facilities were. Well maintained site, really good toilet and shower blocks. Excellent price. Not feeling cramped.

Μου άρεσε: liked everything about this place. The lady who owns it came to greet us and showed us to the pitch. Toilet block 20 feet away with shower room next door. Walked into village 5 minute to the Oddfellows pub. Very cosy and welcoming pub. The site is extremely clean with a shed for washing up. Plenty of hot water. There are picnic bench's with every pitch and a fire pit. £6 a bag of logs. The owner came round with large plastic mats for the front of your tent so you don't trudge mud inside. I would highly recommend. We are already planning another visit in a couple of weeks time.

Μου άρεσε: Incredibly run little site. Clean and well kept. Toilets and showers excellent, dishwashing hut with a phone charging point was a bonus. Great location. Each pitch is marked and most have a table and firepit. The owners have thought of everything.

Μου άρεσε: Caldbeck camping site is situated in a beautiful part of Cumbria along a river and is a great place for walking and hiking. It is well managed and has good facilities including separate male and female toilets and also showers. It has a sink for washing pots in a separate building. There are pitches that have fire pits provided, which are on small cement slabs. Caldbeck is a small village and is a short stroll from the camp site. There is a pub and a few shops including the Millhouse, selling handcrafts and collectibles and also cafe. The couple who run Caldbeck camping are friendly and helpful. This is not a large camp site, so we found it a great place to meet others and also to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Μου άρεσε: Clean facilities, nice quiet site, nice sized pitches next to a trickling stream, lovely walk into the village to the local pub. Great value for money as you don't pay additionally for showers etc.

Μου άρεσε: Small though perfectly formed next to Caldbeck village and river/beck side campsite. Spacious clean showers and toilet building. Well equipped pot washing, with lots of info on the area and village. Well tended grounds and pitches, with access to a slower stretch of the river/beck near the end of the campsite, also access to woodlands/walks via a gate. Fire pits and picnic benches on the pitches. This is the second time I have camped here, my grand daughters loved it and it is certainly a favourite now of mine, can’t recommend it enough. Good mobile signal (I’m on O2 network) Campsite and owners are fab, the village is lovely and peaceful, with places to eat/drink and buy essentials. Keswick just over half an hour away, with easy access to other sightseeing places. A selection of electric hook up pitches, though we stayed on non ehu for the weekend. Very thoughtful touches, like access to solar usb charging in the pot washing building and lots and of info about the local businesses, really makes your stay. I wish all sites would put as much thought into everything ❤️

Μου άρεσε: Good size pitches. Due to all the rain the camp site provides mats to go in front of your tent to protect the grass and save on muddy footprints in tent. Very clean bathrooms. We where pitched next to the river. Nice quiet site and nice to sit and watch the sheep and lambs in the field facing. Lovely welcome. Nice pub round the corner. In all a great site at a great price.

Μου άρεσε: Lovely peaceful spot, pitch was huge and well curated for, toilets and showers spot on. Easy access to the Cambrian way and the village, all you could want.

Μου άρεσε: Friendly hosts, communicative, clean and well maintained facilities. Great location away from busier areas. Level pitch with great electric. Hot showers and hot water. Clean kitchen. Peaceful location with stunning views.

Μου άρεσε: Right from the start we were extremely warmly greeted by the owner. She was utterly fantastic. The site is utterly charming with a stream running close by. The areas are highly well-kept and the facilities were spotlessly clean. We will definitely be back again.
