Henstead Fields Caravan and Campsite

Μου άρεσε Well maintained pitch; electricity and water on hardstanding; attractively enclosed by trees with screening from road; friendly greeting from site management; clean facilities.

Δεν μου άρεσε Pitches arranged in an oval in a shape and size resembling a running track with not much to soften the frontal views of the toilets. Maybe a screen of planting? Awkward design of sanitary arrangement means first up gets one overlarge shower room; the remaining campers have a tiny shower to queue for. The disabled room is clearly preferable. Also, more mirrors in the ladies please.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We're really pleased that you appreciated the well kept pitches and toilet facilities. Unfortunately, the lay out of the site will not be to everyone's liking but hopefully the photographs when booking should help people visualize the site. We have 4 showers, 2 of which are on the larger side not just the one. Sadly, we cannot, at this time, invest in large individual showers for each pitch to avoid some queuing. We will definitely look into putting more mirrors into the shower block along with more hooks. Thanks again, have a lovely summer Sarah and Callum.

Μου άρεσε very spacious pitches separated by areas of longer grass perfect for the wildlife still, the whole site is kept very clean and tidy. we met callum who was very helpful and friendly. modern and again well maintained toilet/ shower facilities. washing up area& drinking water. Although no park or entertainment on site plenty of space to take your own outdoor games. we didn't take our dogs but loved that there was an enclosed area for dogs to run about.Amazing to see the parachutes aswell great entertainment.

Μου άρεσε Nice level pitch, good size,water and electric on pitch, facilities clean warm welcome from the owner, enclosed dog run , nice walking around the area.

Μου άρεσε A fantastic campsite with well laid out and clearly parked pitches. Toilets and showers were immaculate!
Callum welcomed us and was very friendly and available throughout our stay should we have needed him. Quiet, easy access campsite for a perfect weekend getaway. Would highly recommend and we will definitely return. Thanks for Callum & Sarah

Μου άρεσε The quietness of the place only us and 1 other caravan on site at the time .. tents are separate to the caravans ..ground nice and flat ..the owners were available if you needed them and saw them twice daily. Toilets / showers very clean and spacious. Including one separate disabled toilet and shower cubicle

Δεν μου άρεσε When there are more caravans on site it will be needing more toilets and showers as at present only one for men and two women’s plus the disabled toilet

Από τον διαχειριστή: Thank you so much for taking the taking the time to write us a review. As a new site (first full season) it's so nice to hear what people have enjoyed about our site. The quietness has been a highlight for many guests! We're hoping to add to our amenities over the next few years. This year we've added an enclosed dog area for people to give their dogs time off the lead whilst enjoying a cuppa! For more details about the facilities we do have, all the information is available on Pitch Up to explore before booking.

We are looking into getting a portaloo for the busier school holiday period although when our site has been full over bank holidays/Easter we haven't has yet had anyone disappointed about the lack of toilet/shower facilities. There is currently 4 toilets (1 solely for men to use and 2 solely for woman, 1 disabled toilet for all to use).

Μου άρεσε Very quiet site, nice large pitches, clean facilities, very friendly owner. Somewhat basic; exactly as expected and facilities had all you needed.

Μου άρεσε I'm writing this review on behalf of my friend Dave, who recently stayed at your campsite. What he liked the most was the large pitch size. Callum was very helpful, kind and welcoming and went out of his way to advise and offer support as he was travelling on his own. Thanks very much for the ice packs, much appreciated and look forward to returning and all the best. Dave.

With regard to illuminating the signs on arrival this is something we can certainly look into and check with the council to see if this would be permitted. There is lighting on the campsite for when it gets darker but unfortunately not on the roadside at the moment. We hope Dave enjoys the rest of his summer and look forward to welcoming him back. Μου άρεσε Level pitches, we chose fully serviced. Hard surface for the van, and grass for the awning.
Site was quiet and peaceful, and near to many local attractions and several foody pubs.
Toilet block was clean and comfortable, and the owner stopped by for a chat.

Δεν μου άρεσε There is no reception on site. All arrival information was conveyed efficiently by email, but the site was somewhat lacking in character. I would think that the toilet facilities may be limited if the site had high occupancy.

When booking it is clearly stated that there is *no reception desk *on site
so we do encourage guests to read through the available information so not
to be disappointed on arrival. As a new site we will continue to monitor
the use of the facilities but so far on bank holiday weekends when we have
been full this issue has yet to be raised, however, we are looking into
possibly getting a portaloo for busier times; we're pleased you found the
toilets cleans and respectable when you used them. We hope you have a
