Μου άρεσε Friendly welcome (including from the cat :D) . Lovely, peaceful site where can choose where you want to pitch.
Had a relaxing walk and found a couple of local pubs. Owners very knowledgeable of the area.
I appreciate sites charging per persons rather than pitch!

Μου άρεσε What a lovely wild camp site. Stayed for 3 nights. Very natural woodland with basic facilities, just what i needed. It was nice to have a campfire, plenty of fallen branches to burn.
Nice quiet roads to cycle. Plenty of public footpaths to walk.
Gary the owner was very helpful.
Highly recommended. I'll definitely be going back.

Μου άρεσε It was a great area with great hosts. We were left alone to camp with no interference, but when we needed assistance they were more than happy to help.

Μου άρεσε Just returned home after a lovely weekend. Absolutely lovely place which does exactly what it says on the tin. Find yourself a pitch and enjoy. Nice clean shower and toilet. What more do you want. Plenty of walks with the dog, close to river and a beautiful village and pub within a short drive.
The host Gary and his lovely wife were more than accommodating, nothing to much trouble. My phone packed in while I was there. Gary even offered me use of his tablet so I could listen to music !
Fantastic hospitality and a truly lovely place to visit.
Me and my mutt Lennie will definitely be returning.

Μου άρεσε Amazing site for wild(ish) camping, particularly if you like camping in the woods. Lots of space and the freedom to pitch wherever suits you. Laid back vibe, and Gary the owner was very friendly.

Shower room and toilet were nice and big
Owner Gary was friendly, we were unfortunately having just having a quick stay as traveling the next day but he was super knowledgeable of the local location for walks/ shops/ things to do
Campsite cat was very cute and friendly
Having the long grass around the campsite with flowers meant lots of butterflies which were great to watch with a morning brew and breakfast :)

Δεν μου άρεσε Shower door frosted privacy glass didn't appear that effective. A blind/ different type of glass would make it seem a little less see-through

Μου άρεσε Very friendly owner with local knowledge of places to walk. The campsite gives you a real wild camping feel with pitches spread out and varied. Fire pits provided. Extremely enjoyable one night stay.

Μου άρεσε I arrived quite late to Rockridge. Gary the owner was there to welcome me and was very friendly and easy going. It is a lovely site with lots of trees and Gary's sculptures. Choose your own pitch. Not crowded at all, plenty of privacy. Great value. Will definitely be back.

Μου άρεσε It has the setting of a wild camping site but the facilities of a more civilised site, with a flush toilet, warm shower, and an area for cleaning dishes. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, and I was even visited by a very sweet cat! Overall for the price it's absolutely a campsite you should consider.

Beautiful location, 'wild camping' gives an unusual twist on traditional sites.

Δεν μου άρεσε Shower door is practically see through, leaving little privacy. An easy fix would be a sheet of stick on frosted plastic film. (my wife felt uncomfotable using the shower after discovering this)

Might be worth asking people not to use radios / music on site to keep the lovely peaceful nature of the site.

We really appreciate your feedback about the shower door. You're absolutely right—it should offer more privacy, and we have added a frosted film right away to make sure all guests feel comfortable using the facilities.

We also take your point about maintaining the peaceful nature of the site. While we try to encourage a quiet, respectful environment, we'll look at updating our guest information to include a gentle reminder about keeping music and radios to a minimum.
