Some beautiful countryside great walks around lakes we had some nice meals at the local pub the boathouse in Ellsmere (not sure about spelling) we also had the company of my nephew and his good lady who stayed in the Yert the were greatly impressed will definitely return

Δεν μου άρεσε: Midges!!! When walking home from our pub dinner, we got to the field and I could hear a buzzing. My partner said must be an electric pilon nearby. Nope! Above the trees were millions, and I mean black clouds of MILLIONS of what I assume were midges! I was so scared of being eaten alive, we left!

I do feel you have over reacted , the spectacle which you saw , is quite rare , I have been lucky enough to witness it on five occasions in 12 yrs ! It is part of their reproduction & lasts about one hr before dusk , It is an innocuous act , when males pursue females & literally mate in the sky ! They are only interested in each other not you ! Most then die or are predated , meaning these invertebrates form part and are essential to the infrastructure of this S.S.I location [ Site of special scientific Interest ] It is part of an intrinsic link without there would not be the abundance of wildlife you see , such as , Otters, Kingfishers, Crested Grebes , Red throated divers , Goosanders ,Golden eye , Ospreys also call in on migration etc etc !! In short It is an area which we as humans have largely not screwed up ! The odd very small inconvenience which we sometimes encounter , is a very small price to pay , for something quite special ! Μου άρεσε: The camp site is well set up and maintained. The information provided at check in is obviously well used and shared with everyone’s enjoyment in mind. We stayed for two nights, hiring a fire pit on the second night. It was a great experience. The facilities are well maintained and sufficient for the site. We absolutely plan to return and explore more of the local area.

Μου άρεσε: This place is the best in the UK! Beautyfull place, nature so lush. Facilities always clean, tidy. Owners are the kindest people on this planet. I can’t tell enough to describe how amazing this campsite is. We try other places but always regret and come back to Colemere.

Μου άρεσε: Warning! Don’t go there!Because you won’t go to any other campsites in your life after staying in Colemere:D this one is the best in the UK! So peaceful, never have been in place where are so many diferent birds, owls howling helps you to fall asleep at night. Fields are nice level, grass thick and soft - makes sleep in the tent even better, never packed with people, everyone have so much space. Toilets, showers always clean. Community building has lounge, bar and dinning areas, fridges, sink, gas fireplace, charging stations. Beautyful walks in the area.. pubs, restaurants, shops in 5-10min drive distance. I can’t describe how amazing and special this place is. We are a family without kids, and this adults only campsite just perfect for us. Thank you to Ingrid & Dave for creating this place, working so hard that we have a place to come, relax, be closer to nature and recharge after fast living in the big city.

Μου άρεσε: It was a beautiful place, lots of info from the host. Helpful hosts, the Nordic hot tub was nice.

Δεν μου άρεσε: I did request something special for my partners birthday. The door was broken so didn’t shut properly. I had to ask for another electric heater, when the lady came to bring it she seemed really annoyed and said it wasn’t even cold? Which was annoying, made me feel like a moron for asking nicely to be warm overnight when it was 8 degrees outside. Tv didn’t work, no signal at all.

Από τον διαχειριστή: Thanks for your review ! Normally the Glamping units are all pre heated ready for when guests arrive ! As I explained on this occasion I thought it was rather warm & didn't need it ! We did bring an extra heater over straight away , but from what I could see you hadn't actually used it ? Bit confused about the broken door as I've just thoroughly checked it & It's fine ? I do apologise for the poor signal , as someone had interfered with the areal ! Many thanks Dave Allen
