Whether you want to sun yourself on the grass or angle at the water, Lawns and Lakes Camping and Caravanning is a peaceful and well-maintained 20-acre site from which to do both (or nothing at all) among the lovely Lincolnshire countryside... If you’d rather just use the place as a base, that’s no problem either: access to the site – a 10-minute walk from the village of Fleet Hargate and 20 minutes’ drive from Spalding – is straightforward as it’s a short detour from the A17. Roaming on foot is a cinch too – just unhook the gate and wander out onto surrounding paths for a stroll. Any four-legged travellers that have come along for a break can stretch their paws at the site’s dog walking area, half a mile of dog-oriented space with bins for the inevitable mess. Park owners Nigel and Tracy have set their place up to make sure the local wildlife’s just as happy as the guests: there are trees and shrubs all around, along with wildflower meadows that are popular with woodpeckers, kingfishers and other birds. The park’s two fishing lakes are stocked with carp, bream, tench, roach and rudd, and ducks often stop by too. You’re also likely to meet the family’s flock of hens, whose goings-on are most amusing at feeding time. For eats, you may like to set up a barbecue or wander to the village pub or farm shop; treats are to be had closer to home at the site’s Sweet Delights Café, which serves up hot drinks, homemade cakes and ice cream sundaes with a side order of entertainment on selected weekends. A bus stop service is available on site through a call connect service or via a short stroll to the village.

Reliable Wi-Fi across the whole site has been on our bucket list for some time, and we’re pleased to say that fibre broadband is at last being trenched into our area, something we have been waiting a long time for! As soon as it is installed, we plan to put a dedicated service in place that will provide connectivity around the site, rather than just near the barn.

Μου άρεσε Nice friendly welcome on arrival, pitches were a good size and the grounds were kept nice.

Δεν μου άρεσε Toilets were cold to the point the toilet roll was damp, my partner showered but wished he hadn’t as the water was cold to! The road noise was also a constant drone throughout the night, which disturbed our sleep. Finally, although we chose to pay the £10 fee for an early arrival, we felt this was rather expensive for just 1.5 hours, particularly out of season.

Regarding the toilets and showers, another guest had brought the same issue to our attention, and we discovered that following an electrical interruption, the heating and hot water had not automatically restored as they should have. This was rectified immediately once we were made aware. We are genuinely sorry for the inconvenience caused, and we only wish you had informed us during your stay, as we would have been more than happy to investigate and resolve the issue for you straight away.

With regard to the road noise, we appreciate that everyone has different sensitivities when it comes to sleeping, although this has not generally been an issue raised by our guests.

Regarding the early arrival fee, this charge is communicated to guests before arrival, allowing everyone to make an informed choice about whether to take advantage of the additional time on site.

We are sorry that your experience was disappointing and appreciate your feedback, as it helps us maintain the standards we aim to provide to all our guests.

Μου άρεσε We had a lovely stay at Lawns and Lakes Campsites. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the site was clean and well maintained, with level pitches and plenty of space for our Sprocker, to go off lead around the edge. We also enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch that was fresh, tasty and plentiful. A lovely, welcoming campsite with great food. We would happily recommend it and look forward to returning!

Μου άρεσε Lovely site. Really enjoyed my stay.
Good access to the site for all means of camping and caravaning.The site was secure with coded access gate. Everywhere was so clean and tidy. The facilities where some of the nicest I've have seen,showers where hot and both toilets and showers where cleaned daily.good and very level where ever you where on the site. The site owners where very helpful and friendly. I'm not a fisherman but was told that the fishing was good. People around the site where very friendly and always liked a chat. The Barn restaurant and bar where a great addition to my stay. Food was good and very tasty and a decent pint to go with it. I will definitely be back.
