Μου άρεσε: Peaceful location by a lake and very rural.

Δεν μου άρεσε: I didn’t enjoy watching the owner pelt the pigs with apples when he was feeding them. It was pretty distressing for both myself and my young son.

Από τον διαχειριστή: The pigs were not deliberately getting 'pelted' with apples. We were shoveling windfall apples into their runs but this requires force to throw the apples distances that require them to go search for them. This provides enrichment and underpins natural behavior to search for food. The pigs start to run and chase apples when be start to throw them or launch them with the shovel. Some apples clearly hit the pigs but this is not the intention.. the intention is to stimulate the pigs and their natural behavior. Sorry if it was perceived negatively but if you would have spoken to us at the time then maybe this could have been clarified

Μου άρεσε: Absolutely love this place, always get a warm welcome from Ian and Josie, toilets and showers are clean and plenty of hot water. love having the option to stroll over to the bar if you want to watch the football or have a chat and a few cheeky drinks, the shop always has whatever I’ve forgot to take lol. The animals are well cared for and we never got tired of walking round to see them all and we also enjoyed a bit of fishing (i caught more than the hubby) will definitely be back

Μου άρεσε: The setting, the animals and the welcoming and friendly staff who couldn’t have done more for us. My little one didn’t want to go home and is already talking about when we can come back

Μου άρεσε: Lovely site! Us and our 6 year old throughly enjoyed the whole weekend, good park with lots for the kids and feels safe to let the kids go and play without you having to constantly watch them so could have us time to sit and relax. So many animal to see and feed and so well looked after. Great pitch sizes, on site bar with a shop added bonus. The toilet and shower facilities aren’t the best we’ve had on a site but more than adequate. We throughly enjoyed our weekend and will be back

Μου άρεσε: This place really is amazing fantastic for all the amazing staff the beautiful rescue animals ! Highly recommend and will defo be back! Not disappointed ! Jaxson loves it here and we will be back again! Little shop on site and food and bar lovely for a little quite escape

Μου άρεσε: The site was lovely, right next to some lovely walks, had a children'spark on site. They have lots of rescue animals for guests to see and feed (supplied by owners at their shop). Lovely facilities and cafe/bar/shop. The owners Ian and Josie were so friendly and helpful. The staff were also friendly. Will rebook here again.

Μου άρεσε: So much to do with the kids and lovely owners! Definitely recommend. Toilets are clean and showers with a shop that's reasonably priced! We had a lovely stay!

Μου άρεσε: Really friendly and helpful campsite owners, nothing too much trouble. We had a lovely few days.... beautiful scenery and lovely wildlife as promised, even down to the little snake under our tent when we packed up this morning....kids were very excited. Facilities great. Will definitely return .
