Positiv: Quiet site next to a river with walking trails. Very picturesque. Great for overnight stay but no shower facilities.

Negativ: No shower or wash facilities. This was stated before booking. Only stayed the one night for£32 for family of 4 which is expensive considering there is no wash facilities. A shower block was being built but looked a while off being completed.

Vom Platzbetreiber: Sorry you were disappointed by our slow progress on building a shower block. it has been an awful winter and spring, so work has been held up. This is made clear in the information we put out about the site We do provide a warm water cubicle in which women can have a private strip wash . Men have washing facilities too, but cold water only at present. with the better weather work on the shower block can get underway... fingers crossed I hope you will come back when we're up and running with the showers

Positiv: Rural basic nature of the site. Peace a quiet in amongst nature.

Negativ: No shower, but ok for one or two nights

Positiv: The campsite is incredible, the views are like something from a film and is one of the reasons why we chose this site from looking at everyone else’s reviews/pictures and it did not disappoint. Toilets had everything you needed, and showers are being built, our stay was only short so we freshened up by the river and brought own toiletries etc. Super friendly and helpful staff, and other campers were lovely! Already recommended to a ton of family and friends, as they’ve seen the pics and want in, definitely get booking for the summer months! We can’t wait to go back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Positiv: Lots of area to choose from with well maintained toilet amenities and drinking water. Looks like lots of work is going on to try and improve the drainage as well.

Negativ: Would be amazing with shower faculties which I think are on the way.

Vom Platzbetreiber: Hello Janice So sorry you did not enjoy your stay. The weather has been so bad this spring, and over the winter. I have never known it to be so wet. we have put in an huge amount of work to drain the site and build firm foot paths to and from toilets. We are now reseeding the grass IN the late spring and summer, when the weather is better, all the inconveniences you experienced will be gone

Negativ: Younger host not very welcoming, almost seemed annoyed to help. Gate with difficult padlock to access campground along with false lock code provided on host door. Zero privacy even with limited campers on site.

Vom Platzbetreiber: We are glad you enjoyed camping by the river, There are some special secluded pitches on the river bank We are a family run campsite with three generations contributing to the smooth running of the place... ages from 7 to 77. We thoroughly enjoy sharing our special location with our guests and enjoy meeting all the varied campers who come. You can usually expect a very warm welcome In order to ensure we only have good, pleasant campers we keep the entrance gate locked, the gate code posted on the Farm house door is correct. THe campsite is a large area, guest can choose to be close to others or in a secluded more private spot on their own . Anyone disturbed by inconsiderate behaviour by neighbours are encouraged to let us know. We are happy to neighbours who are being a nuisance. Fortunately it does 'nt happen often.

Positiv: The site was gorgeous with plenty of space between pitches(though this may be down to the time if year).

Negativ: Pathway to the toilets was in need for a little re-do but it was just about manageable in the lovely UK February weather.

Positiv: The site was really peaceful and pretty. Considering the time of year we still found a decent spot to pitch up without getting real muddy.
