Positiv: Peace and tranquility, lots of space, bins on each pitch, fire pits, woodland - all very good. Level pitches. Would be a safe site for children

Negativ: No showers and composting toilets a bit smelly but neither a real problem

Positiv: We loved this site. After years of camping and staying at many sites around the country we can safely say this is up there with the best! We will definitely visit again. The site is lovely and quiet and staff are very friendly. Having a picnic bench and own bins on your pitch was just great! The site is very eco friendly including compost loos which were clean and tidy at all times. The pitches are flat, of good size and nicely spaced. Lots of wildlife and farm animals to see.

Positiv: The animal watching, it was a haven for rabbits, so relaxing. Apart from the electrical supply, it is a very back to basic site which is so serene.

Negativ: The drive up to the site was very narrow

Positiv: We loved being able to see the animals and we liked the amount of space in the meadow. We didn't go in the shop but it looked nice and nice that you could order pastries for breakfast although we didn't do this as we had to leave early. We also liked the recycling area with separate containers for different waste.

Negativ: We chose the site as it was marketed as a family-friendly site so we thought it would be quiet in the evening but sadly some of the other campers staying the same night as us were playing music quite loudly which completely destroyed our enjoyment - we go camping to get away into the countryside and want to be able to hear the birds singing but the music drowned this out and meant we were unable to relax. Music also continued after 8pm which is the quiet hours. This isn't the campsite's fault but I do feel that if you are going to be a quiet site you should firstly make this more obvious to people and potentially police this. Site is also right next to a trail bike track and the bikes were quite noisy the evening we stayed although they stopped by 8pm. Compost toilets would be better for sawdust to throw over as we've had at other sites as this helps manage the smell and makes them more appealing.

Vom Platzbetreiber: Thank you for your feedback. I am really sorry you were disturbed by your neighbours and we would have been happy to come and ask them to turn off their music. We don't leave sawdust for guests to put down themselves as when we tried this, the separating seat meant the front part got all blocked up. When we are cleaning, we always add hay to 'cover up'.

Positiv: We liked the animals , fresh stream to paddle and beautiful natural countryside that's an eco farm

Negativ: Only the fact of no showers for a longer stay

Positiv: Such a beautiful site. Lovely level and enclosed pitches. Beautiful surroundings. Compost loos were fine- not smelly or anything. Loved the animals and the proximity to the river. Feels like a really special place. Thank you

Positiv: The lovely people who run it and work there - everyone so friendly! Also kids LOVED the swing ropes and animals.

Negativ: Perfect for a short visit (longer if you can manage no shower for a week ;)

Positiv: The atmosphere was lovely, from the chalkboard with our names on, directing us to the field we were in, the name of the farm in bamboo sticks written on the fence, the animals, all the information available! It was thoroughly delightful, clean, fantastic owners and staff who were friendly and informative and all with smiling faces! It was a great break and we will definitely be back! Loved all the little touches, fuseball table outside the cafe and some toys to play with, being able to feed some of the animals, a pop up bar, pastries ordering etc, so many thoughtful extras! Added bonus was the hot air balloons landing in the field and all the children being able to help fold away and get a going the basket! Kudos to Sarah and team for allowing the emergency landing on the field and allowing the support vehicles the access (another farmer nearby not so accommodating!) all round just a wonderful weekend!

Negativ: Maybe the cafe and shop could be open longer but totally appreciate it’s a working farm so perhaps not able to do this.
