Ruda Holiday Park

Positiv: Excellent customer service at reception. Quickly relocated to be next to family and another query dealt with excellently. Good access to all facilities. Gorgeous views and quick access to the beach.

Negativ: Touring block showers were quite tired and often mucky but we did see regular cleaning. Littering appeared to be an issue.

Positiv: Lovely walk to the beach and into Croyde - can’t beat where the site is situated

Negativ: Shower block needs major updating. They were clean but the showers were awful - had to keep turning back on virtually every 30 seconds! Also the water sprayed the back of the door instead of coming straight down !

Positiv: Clean and tidy site, especially the shower block. Everything you need on site. Excellent proximity to the beach.

Negativ: Entertainment was a bit weak, but I understand it was midweek and out of season. Some free facilities closed too early for my liking I. E. The Boathouse closing at 22.00 but I understand the reasons why.

It’s disappointing to hear you do not find our bar and restaurant reasonably priced. We always aim to provide something suitable for all budgets with ever changing offers and also stay competitive with the local area. Positiv: Location - so close to a brilliant beach Facilities and excellent shops Being parked next to a couple who arrived in a Hot Wheels Landrover Defender Our first holiday since retirement meaning we were outside school hols : D

Negativ: Our camper didn't like the sleeping policemen, glad we didn't bring the Ferrari

Positiv: Location is fabulous. The beach is so close I could hear the waves from my sleeping bag. There is a good selection of eateries and activities for kids.

Negativ: The toilet and shower blocks are in a poor state. I expected much better from a Parkdean resort. The pitches aren't entirely flat, which isn't a problem until you're at the bottom of the field in the pouring rain (which we were). There is a mole problem! Each night/morning we could hear the moles scratching under our groundsheet. Every morning there was a new pit for us to stumble in and risk an injury. This also made for an uneven ground to place our chairs, risking tearing a hole in the groundsheet of our tent. All of this, plus the inclement weather, caused us to cut our 4 night stay, to a 2 night stay. Rather disappointing.

Positiv: The pool is great for kids though and the chicken restaurant is great quality food and good price.

Negativ: Incredibly noisy site we apparently no rules on a quiet time like most sites. People were coming back drunk from the onsite pub and shouting until gone 1am. We left after our first night. The showers are the old fashioned push ones last 20 seconds and the heads are angled so far out they just hit the wall rather than your body. A lot of the pitches are missing numbers so finding ours took ages. We go to Devon alot and there are many better sites at cheaper prices.

I do hope you were able to raise any concerns with our dedicated Guest Experience Team in Reception, so that they could look to try and resolve these issues during your time with us. We're also sorry to hear you were kept awake by other guests on park, we do have a quiet policy on park that guests should be respectful of others and start to lower any noise after 11pm, so it's disappointing to hear that this wasn't your experience on this occasion. I do hope this experience won't deter you from visiting one of our 65 Holiday Parks again in future. ^AB

Positiv: How close to the beach 🏖️ easy walking distance the electric hookup was clean and tidy, the showers and toilet block also clean and tidy

Negativ: Prices in the clubhouse for food and alcoholic drinks a bit high the food market hours of trade not brilliant shutting at 19 00 on a night time is a bit early .
