Positiv: This was our first time away in our touring caravan. The gentleman that greeted us very a lovely guy and even helped me push the van on to the pitch as I explained i was a caravan virgin and I would struggle to reverse in. The pitch was very level and spotless. The toilets were spotlessly clean and heated all in all we had a fantastic two nights. Thank you we will be back

Positiv: 9th time here now. Think that say’s it all. We travel to Fairfield farm 340 mile from Dorset as often as we can. It’s a beautiful spot with fantastic views. Brian & John who own and run the site are two of the most friendly people you could wish to meet. Well done chaps 5 stars from us

Positiv: I will start by saying that the owner was very friendly.

Negativ: Pitches are not allocated so you pick yourselves and I have to say that some of the hard standing pitches had grass growing over the gravel. The grass around the pitches was like a bog as there is no drainage whatsoever. Electric points looked like that have had better days. Elsen point was absolutely disgusting as it flows into a field behind ( see photos) and backs up. No management of this whatsoever. The shower and toilet pods weren’t clean at all and we didn’t see them being cleaned once ( unless you count one of the owners mopping the floor with a disgusting mop with brown water. No where to empty the grey waste so told to throw it in the hedge. The place is not looked after at all as too much time and effort is put into the glamping pods. At a cost of £25 a night in January it’s daylight robbery. Also this place is a danger to the environment.

Vom Platzbetreiber: i cannot believe what i have just read these people were staying when we had a storm and it rained for 2 days non stop hence the grass was like a bog the site is drained with gravel to the surface the elsen tank got filled with rainwater which i have had emptied today you cant get these out on a weekend most of the water above the tank was rainwater i have had that tank in 15 years and never had trouble with it before but this is the wetest winter in years. if the guests had let me know i would have arranged for them to use the other tank rather than causing me a problem blocking pipework after pouring into a full tank i asked the people who wrote the review if all was ok when they left and they said it was so was shocked too read there review the mop and bucket is cleaned when i do the toilets daily it looked too me as if it had been used too clean boots i dont allocate pitches as the majority of customers like too chose were they go we can only take 7 units on in the winter i wish people would tell me of any problems when on site so the can be dealt with the hard standing on the picture is our smallest for campervans and the majority are happy with them
