Marshlands Alpacas

Positiv: Absolutely everything. Our storage site were having the power turned off for work to be done, which meant that we had to have the caravan out early. After telephoning Julie, she said that we could come on site early. We were given the choice of a couple of hardstanding pitches as it had rained beforehand. We went to the Alpaca Arms on site that evening, really welcoming and they allow dogs in too. Although the weather wasn't great throughout the week we had a lovely relaxing time and even fed the Alpacas one morning. Can't wait to return, in fact we've already booked a few visits

Positiv: Lovely quiet site, nice level pitches. Loved seeing the Alpacas! The owners are lovely and we're very welcoming. Super dog friendly. Nice clean toilets and shower. Loved the onsite bar, very handy and lovely atmosphere. Sadly we were too late back for the pies, maybe next time. Area around has loads of walks. We will be back again.

Positiv: A lovely quiet site which was really well kept. The toilet and shower facilities were really spacious. The shower was £1 for 7 minutes which was plenty of time and there were toiletries available to use. It was lovely to be able to feed the alpacas and find out all about them. The pub was brand new and had lots of drinks to choose from. There was a great Chinese takeaway only 5 minutes walk away.

Negativ: Not the prettiest village for a walk round.

Positiv: Nice quiet site good facilities. Friendly owners and pub on site, The Alpaca Arms . Worth a visit just to see the Alpaca's and Henry the cat!

Positiv: Pitches level, well maintained and close to facilities. Facilities where like new and kept clean throughout our stay. Alpaca Arms (on site pub) is fantastic a great selection of drinks and made to very welcome by hosts and locals a like.

Positiv: Everything! This was our favourite getaway to date! We can’t wait to rebook for early next year. The hosts genuinely went above and far beyond to make us welcome. Recommending fantastic local activities for us to visit / places to eat. Cuddling the alpacas was amazing. When I say cuddle I mean one of them wanted a full cuddle! They pick and choose who and when they want attention with no pressure for them to act in a way they don’t want too. I was even lucky enough to pop a little coat on one of the older girls so she didn’t get cold! Beautiful and spotless site. Lovely pub. There wasn’t a thing I would change.

Negativ: My poor time management! You must eat before you visit the lovely onsite pub or like us your’ll leave far earlier then you want to.

Positiv: Everything. The hosts were very accommodating. The pitches were spacious. The showers were fantastic and super clean. It was great being near the railway station and the pub was a real bonus. The alpacas were rather special as well.

Positiv: We were there probably on the worst weather of the year. But we had a great time. Lovely clean site, and what to do when the weather is bad? Well go the pub, and the Alpacas Arms was great, warm and welcoming, and the hosts were brilliant x
