Syntes ikke om An extremely disappointing experience. We booked through Pitchup, which showed availability, and paid a deposit, with the remaining balance due directly to the campsite. Just one day before arrival, we were told the site was fully booked.

Although they apologised, their proposed solution was to squeeze us between two existing pitches. How that was supposed to work was never clear, and it was hardly an acceptable alternative to the pitch we had booked.

With such short notice, we couldn’t find another campsite and ended up booking a hotel instead. We also lost our deposit. It was only around £3, but the amount is beside the point—the disruption, inconvenience and additional expense were far more significant.

I don’t know whether the fault lies with Pitchup or the campsite, but customers should be able to rely on a booking made and paid for in good faith. Being let down the day before arrival is completely unacceptable.

Syntes om Location, location, location. Band in between Bristol and Bath. Brilliant! EHU and water access good.

Syntes ikke om Site felt a little tired, and has so much potential. Toilets could do with a spruce up. And just general maintenance of the grass/hard standing.

Ideal for the adventure park just down the road or as a half way mark if heading for devon/ cornwall.
Need your our facilities in van as no showers on site.

Syntes om Good location for a base between bristol and bath. Walks to both amd surrounding areas immediately from camp site so no need to drive.

Syntes ikke om less quiet than last time we stayed as proximity of the new static with a family in is very close.

Syntes om It was perfectly effective for an overnight stay, the reviews make this place out to be something bad when its far from it, it was a enjoyable visit and served everything it said it would perfectly

Syntes ikke om Difficult walk to valley site. Just basic water and disposal. No shower. Barred gate but not censored. No contact with anyone from site. Very high price for basic

Syntes om Ideal stop off for a over night stay as a half way point if travelling to Cornwall/Devon area.
A short walk away is avon valley adventure park.

Syntes om Because it was so small, the water tap was no distance away. Nice to have full electricity. The big tree provided shade in the morning, which meant we didn't cook while we slept in! No 'interference' from site owners. All very relaxed. Toilets are nice. We spread ourselves out a bit, what with awning and bicycles and sunbeds and it was good to be able to do so. This is not your usual 'manicured' and sprawling club site, which you may or may not like. Morrisons garage is just up on the main road if you run out of anything. There's a Greggs inside as well, so hot croissants and coffee if you're lazy or disorganised! We had a very happy week and having the Bristol to Bath cycle way so close and the kayaking only 5 mins down the lane was fab.

Syntes ikke om Rail track literally on the other side of a row of trees and GWR trains whizzing by. Got used to it though. Sometimes farmworkers appeared almost outside our window on the other side of the fence. Really could have done with an onsite shower as ours broke towards the end of our week's stay! One evening, farm vehicle noises went on until 10 pm, lots of clanking and crashing.

Syntes ikke om Toilets dirty, pitches overrun with high weeds and nettles. Water tap totally surrounded by nettles a foot high. The field and surroundings generally very delapidated.

Fra bestyreren: It's a shame you think our lovely farm looks dilapidated. Much of rural England is a little brown and scorched this summer but we work hard to keep our farm running and the CL site is a big part of that. If you ever wanted to stay again we would be very welcoming.
