Syntes ikke om - In the photos a bbq is shown. This has since been replaced with a concrete plinth that you can place a disposable bbq on. No dislasabke bbq was provided.

Please can you make this change clearer when booking (perhaps update the photos). When I arrived had to imediatly leave the site again to visit 3 different shops looking for a bbq as I had brought food with me that night which i was intending to cook. If I had known I would have brought one with me.

Syntes om Lovely site situated next to the canal and close to main roads without traffic noise.

Toilets and showers were well maintained and modern. The touch of having radio playing was also nice avoids having to listen to other noises whilst using the facilities. Pitches are a good size and the hard standing isn't too hard making it difficult for pegs to go in.

Syntes ikke om The location of the toilet block isn't great. It is central to the caravan pitches but this site offers Camping and has some holiday huts so it means there's a steady stream of people wanting to use these facilities so people are often walking past the caravan. It wasn't hugely busy when we stayed so I imagine if the camping was full it would feel like a slight Invasion of privacy.

Syntes om Fantastic site, toilets and shower spotless and great quality, views amazing, private dog area, cafe, fishing lake amazing access to the canal and into Whitchurch. Just so much great about this site. We are even planning to come back next weekend we enjoyed it so much.

Syntes om The Waterside Shepherds Hut was at the end of the campsite a stonesthrow away from the canal which you could see through the fence. At most you saw people walking/ driving up and down the lane to the canal. Left to Whitchurch but you had to come off the tow path because you quite obviously can't get passed the Llangollen breach. Very beautiful everywhere.

Free dog exercise field but other dogs are allowed to use it at the same time so just be wary.

There is a cafe on site open at regular times throughout the week. Check the site's Facebook page.

Toilet/shower facilities are lovely, very clean and spacious. The accessible toilet/shower room in spacious too. Hand soap and hand dryers at the sinks.

The husband caught on the fishing lake too he had some fun catching 9lb carp etc. The lake itself is having a bit of tlc to make it even better.

Very tidy everywhere.

Nearest shop is Aldi which is a 30 minute walk along the canal then the busy hain road or 5 minutes in your car. Starbucks, McDonald's and Asda local all at the garage on the island.

Bring a container to get water, there isn't a standpipe specifically for The Waterside Shepherds Hut. There are standpipes behind the seasonal caravans and we were told by the caravan owners to help ourselves.

Bring a cool bag or box with ice blocks to freeze, there isn't any way of keeing your milk etc cold within the Hut. There is a fridge freezer in the room where you can wash your pots. We got our blocks frozen no problem.

The toilet block is a minutes walk away but you may want to consider alternative ideas for during the night if you're going to get desperate 😊

Syntes om Very friendly owners getting stuck in to improve pitches. There is a bus service into Whitchurch which Dawn said would be looked into and put notice up in communal room.

Syntes om Large hardstanding pitch fully serviced.
Helpful and friendly staff. Thanks to Dawn for a nice welcome.
Good cafe at site entrance with extensive breakfast and lunch menu.
Excellent and clean site facilities.
Good fishing on site for a small daily charge.
Lovely canal side walks direct from site.
Bus service (no.146) can be flagged down at the site entrance to get into Whitchurch town centre (around 10 mins).
You can also walk into Whitchurch along the canal towpath for most of the way, which takes around 45 mins.
Also, an Aldi close to site.
A McDonalds as well if that`s your thing.
Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Can`t think of anything else that we didn`t like.
