Syntes om Reception team were lovely and extremely helpful.
Fully serviced pitch was perfect - nice not to have to move the Motorhome once all set up.
It was peaceful at night and there are lots of nice walks on the doorstep.
Cafe next door had a good menu. We had catered so we didn’t eat there but will definitely give it a go when we stay again.

We're currently making a number of improvements across the site to enhance our guests' experience. While this does mean a bit of daytime activity, we're doing our best to keep any disruption to a minimum, and we really appreciate your understanding.

Syntes om It’s very peaceful and to be woken by the birds morning song in the surrounding countryside and the sounds of laughter from adults and children through the day and a leisurely walk around the lake with ducks and swans with a children’s playground and a cafe to sit and rest. It’s also convenient that it’s not far from the town centre for shopping and night life. Highly recommended

Syntes om Position of campsite adjacent to California Country Park with easy access to lovely walks around lakes, wetland and woodland. Fully-serviced hard-standing pitches, code operated gates adding a measure of security, well kept grounds and powerful hot showers. Plan to refurbish shower block for 2026 season. The receptionists were accommodating and allowed us to re-locate to a larger pitch to facilitate the use of our sun canopy.

Syntes om The position of the site was ideal for us, we were visiting friends in the area.
The country park around the site was very nice as we have two dogs, they liked it too !

Syntes ikke om The fully serviced pitch we had (21) was extremely small, if we had put up an awning or sun canopy there was no room for the car. The pitches on that side were very close together too.
We were only there as a stopover for two nights, so it wasn’t an issue for us, but for anyone else it could be.
A lot of the caravans on there also seemed to be seasonal pitches.
Facilities could do with an update, even after cleaning floor still looked dirty.

We do appreciate your comments regarding the fully serviced pitch and the shower block. We're aware that some of our pitches are on the smaller side, particularly on that section of the site, and we’re currently reviewing our layout as part of planned future improvements. Refurbishment of the shower and toilet facilities is also something we're actively considering, and feedback like yours helps us prioritise these updates.

Syntes om Great level pitches, lots of space. Situated within a woodland area next to a large lake. Good walks and a super cafe next to site. Would definitely go again.

Syntes om Really lovely site in a beautiful setting

Syntes ikke om Paid a lot of money for our pitch and had to share it with a Mercedes estate which was parked in the pitch when we arrived!! Couldn’t locate who it belonged to and no-one came out to move it when we were arrived. Lots of long term residents, so believe it belonged to one of them but feel
a little aggrieved that we paid so much money for half a pitch and could barely open our Motorhome door to get in and out - and certainly couldn’t sit outside our Moho!
Emailed the site but no response (or offer of half our fee returned!!!)

We do include an emergency contact number in the arrival information and on our reception door specifically for situations like this, so we can assist right away — had we been made aware via that number, we would have done our utmost to resolve the issue promptly.

We completely understand your frustration at not having full use of the pitch you paid for and the impact this had on your stay. Please rest assured that this is not the standard of experience we aim to deliver.
