Em va agradar Had a great time at Hanworth Country Park, Fishing good, Pod great for the price, Brilliant staff especially in the Brewers. Site very well maintained and some great walks with my German Shepherd. Treats for my German Shepherds at the Dog Station which is a good idea. Overall a well laid out maintained site with hard working staff.

No em va agradar The only thing that will stop me from going back is having to pay £40 for my dog (thats from monday too friday) weve been away together a lot and most of the time a dog goes free or you pay a pound a day but never £40 for monday to friday and that alone will stop me from going back,also checking in time 4pm (they did let me have the keys at 3pm which i was grateful but its still a big part of your day gone) and checking out time 10am. You pay a security bond of £30 which they like to be done on your phone on your banking app but i dont do banking on my phone, but after a while they did let me pay it in cash.

Em va agradar Lovely clean site and very well laid out. The fishing is absolutely unbelievable just outside the hive with very big carp etc. That were obviously very well looked after. Our daugter and son inlaw turned up for a couple of days which we were expecting and unexpectantly had our grandson with them which put us up to 5 and a dog instead of 4. Rachel was very understanding and let it go. My wife has a medical condition and she found the hive wooden chairs very uncomfortabe so I let her use my more comfortable and well padded and nearly new fishing chair to use in the hive for comfort and I used the wooden chair to fish while she was using my fishing chair which Rachel pointed out wasnt made for fishing so I quickly changed back which made my wife uncomfortable while sat on it (abet I must say that Rachel didnt know about my wifes medical condition at the time)

No em va agradar We were in the Hive and it only has one room and a toilet not two rooms but it has a 2 ringed electric hob which we didnt know about which is a big plus. The Hive is very clean and well looked after and has everything you need Television,hob,microwave,fridge etc. but a BIG downside to the hive is the pull down slightly smaller than normal double bed which is extremely uncomfortable to sleep on .Theres hardly any padding on it and you are basicallly sleeping on wooden slats. Ive seen in past reviews that people have complained about this double bed being uncomfortable and its been said that its been changed which obviously it hasnt. If you check my other reviews youll notice that ive never left anything negative on any of the reviews ive left before. Ive been camping and fishing with my dog for absolutely years and ive slept in some very remote areas for the fishing and ive slept in small tents on the floor with the dog so im use to discomfort but never like that night on that pull out bed (and im not one for complaining about it) One night on it was enough as my wife and I sat up having a drink oof tea from 03.30 onwards. Id just like to finish with I would definately go back and enjoy the site and the fishing and I would definately reccomend it to friends but dont use the hive unless that bed has been changed because it will spoil your holiday I didnt mention the bed to Rachel because I knew we were person one over and would she really have been able to move 5 people to different accomodation but the bed needs changing.

I’m sorry that ‘The Hive’ did not meet your personal requirements. The Hive is as advertised a one room accommodation with toilet designed for short breaks. The overall size of the pod is 14 sq m. There is however other accommodation on site which offers more extensive facilities for those with medical needs. I can confirm the sofa bed was bought brand new at the start of this season, as you can imagine in such a small contained area finding a sofa bed suitable is rather tricky. This accommodation is only suitable for 4. To have 5 adults and a German Shepherd was unacceptable for this accommodation, there was no wonder your stay was uncomfortable.

Em va agradar Absolutely loved this place. I was with my German Shepherd and we had some lovely long walks around the very scenic area. The staff work hard around the site and Phil is always on hand if theres any problems. I found the site and toilets very clean and well stocked. If you book this pplace you wont forget it

Em va agradar Was very quiet when I went which is what I liked since I was fishing. Owners very nice. Enjoyed my time and would recommend

No em va agradar Since there is loads of wild life around the site Rabbits ducks etc theres also lots of small bits of faeces from the wildlife . Can be a bit off putting at times but I suppose the owners struggle with this

Em va agradar Excellent Campsite. The owner works very hard maintaining the site. The grounds, the toilets and even the free showers were immaculate during my stay. The fishing is fantastic. No downsides to this campsite. If you book it I guarantee you wont regret it.
