Pitchup.com launches camping and caravanning widget builder

Pitchup.com has launched a widget builder allowing websites to embed a search for camping and caravanning accommodation from the UK’s largest database of campsites and holiday parks.

Websites can customise the widget by choosing search criteria that will tailor results. The criteria that can be pre-determined are:

• Location (country, region, county, town) OR variable distance to a postcode (such as an event location)
• The five Pitchup.com accommodation types (touring pitches, tent pitches, motorhomes, caravans for hire, lodges for hire)
• Features required - from campfires allowed to family friendly and wild camping to star rating

Websites can display the options as a list of sites, a search box or plotted on a Bing map that can be embedded into almost any webpage, thanks to the flexible dimensions.

The widget is being introduced in response to demand expressed via Pitchup.com’s Bright Ideas section, where users submit and vote on ideas for improvements.
