Whether you’re looking for a wild camping weekend retreat, a no-frills base for outdoor adventures or simply a place to unwind in untamed nature, Jalloh Estates is likely to fit the bill. This peaceful site is surrounded by trees and set on high ground in Weeki Wachee, a suburb of Spring Hill in western Florida.
It’s all about immersing yourselves in the natural world at Jalloh Estates, so there are no facilities provided except running water – you’ll need to be self-sufficient with your own bathroom and cooking facilities (you’re welcome to bring a barbecue with you or light a campfire if you wish). It is a secluded property with a nature trail leading through forest landscapes – follow it to the end and you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views over native Florida woodland.
Despite its rural setting, the site is conveniently located within five minutes’ drive of grocery stores, restaurants and essential services. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate being about the same distance from Weeki Wachee Springs State Park and the Weeki Wachee River – and it also makes a great base for days on Florida’s renowned Nature Coast beaches.

There’s no shortage of outdoor adventures just minutes from the site. Weeki Wachee Springs State Park (five minutes’ drive) may be famed for its live ‘mermaid’ shows but it also has white sand beaches and waterways fed by crystal-clear springs where you can go wildlife viewing. There are facilities for kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding too.
You can also go paddleboarding down sections of the Weeki Wachee River (five minutes); you can often spot manatees, turtles and otters in its clear, spring-fed water as well as a variety of native birds like bald eagles and herons flitting along the river banks.
The Nature Coast forms part of Florida’s Gulf Coast, and it’s only 10 minutes’ drive to popular spots like Hernando Beach, where you can go swimming, boating and fishing, take day cruises to spot dolphins playing in the waves and enjoy waterfront dining along with stunning sunsets.
