Camping Weidumerhout is located by the river Zwette, close to the historic village of Weidum. The site is set on a farm and has a quiet and family atmosphere. The natural tranquillity, as well as the slow pace of the country, makes the campsite a place where you will feel at home. The site has a stylish restaurant where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner created with local produce. The restaurant also offers daily fresh sandwiches and snacks. The bar has a fantastic local beer and a selection of fine wines. Weidumerhout has a sauna and a harbour. In addition, the site has common facilities such as a launderette, a toilet and shower block and a baby changing area. There’s also a free dishwasher at your disposal and free wifi throughout the campsite. A bike and canoe hire service is available on site.

Whilst staying at the camping Weidumerhout you will discover the wonderful Frisian open spaces. This is the land of waterways, lakes and canals and historic village and the ideal starting point for people who want to explore the province of Friesland by bicycle, by canoe or on skates. There is plenty of historic towns to visit nearby such as Leeuwarden, Sneek and Franeker. The site is located on the route of the Elfstedentocht, the famous 11 city skating tour running between Leeuwarden and Sneek.
