You'd arrange a few days' French Alps stay at Camping Mont Blanc Plage just for those gorgeous lake views, with towering Mont Blanc images bouncing back up at you from the gorgeous waters. Add in a whole bucketload of outdoor activities nearby and… well, how long can you take off work to hide away here? The pics above give just a teeny taster of how lush this Haute-Savoie setting is. See for yourself by settling in on a comfy sun lounger on the site’s lakeside terrace as you gawp out over the pair of private lakes. Swimming is allowed, for cooling dips on hot days – or hardy ones on cooler days; there’s a waterslide if you’d like to make a splash with your entrance. Dry off afterwards ready for table tennis in the games room, a lazy sprawl in the TV room or a feast at the lakeside restaurant. Do make an effort to tear yourselves away from those views every so often, though – you’ll be within easy reach of famed Alps highlights – Chamonix and the cable car ride to Aiguille du Midi are within half an hour’s drive, and ski resorts such as Combloux and Megève are 15 and 25 minutes away. Just want to max out the lake time? Trot over to Lac de Passy, a few minutes’ walk away, for beach days, kayaking, windsurfing and fishing. Supplies of all sorts are in the sizeable town of Sallanches, five minutes’ drive away. No need to head up there at the crack of dawn though; the site restaurant sells bread and croissants every morning.

No em va agradar: Electricity supply was faulty although recently installed. Some of the connections I tried didn’t work and the ones that did were not earthed. We had booked and paid to stay 4 nights but left after 1 night.

Del gerent: Dear Mister Hankinson. The camping has been full all summer with a lot of english clients and nobody did complain about the electricity. About the weather i cannot do anything... You did arrive and did drive to fast to arrive by us. You did scratch your brand new caravane that s why your answer was we ve got a death in our family and must go back tomorrow. 😉

No em va agradar: First of all, the lady on reception was rude to us when explaining the campsite security gate. We were made to feel like we were inconveniencing her. The campsite itself was supposed to be situated around a lake, the photos on the website made it look idyllic. The reality was a far cry from this! It resembled a swamp and much of it was closed, we were not informed of this until we arrived. Everything was very run down, graffiti everywhere and the facilities were filthy and dated. In addition to this, the site is right next to a main road, the road noise meant we had no sleep. We both became ill (we suspect cleanliness of the campsite could be the reason for this).

Em va agradar: Location spectacular and adjacent lakeside restaurant and cafe is accompanied by as good a view of Mont Blanc as you’ll get anywhere.

No em va agradar: Site facilities need an upgrade, particularly in one of the blocks. Waste disposal very poor.

Em va agradar: views are fantastic large pitches easy access to electricity clean hot showers in second block

No em va agradar: We were very disappointed to find out we could not take the dog into the restaurant. We had stayed previously in 2021 and this was not a problem. then. We would not have booked the campsite as one of the things we wanted to do was to be able to sit in the restaurant, have a meal and a drink and observe the fantastic view. Having checked pitch up and the campsite website there is no mention of not taking dogs into the restaurant although it does mention not taking them into the beach area which we were fully aware of. Interestingly, we were told that it was due to a health and safety inspection, but somehow the owner has their own dog in there. In addition there is quite a strong smell from the cesspits

Del gerent: Madame if you look well on the pitchup site it says no dog on the beach or the restaurant. Most of the clients are accepting it. I ve got a dog but he is a watch dog and is not disturbing my client because he is not running everywhere. You must learn not to do everything with your dog.

Em va agradar: Beautiful lake over looking mountains . Could order fresh bread and pastries for the next day which were very tasty

No em va agradar: Noise from motorway right next to the site which was relentless leading to two poor nights sleep (bring ear plugs!) facilities weren’t overly clean. Very tired kids area. Wouldn’t take much to tidy the place up.

Llocs d'interès

Hikes and bike rides are easily accessed in the mountains around the site, several from Sallanches under your own steam and more available to book with local guides. Three highlights are the routes around Mayères Alp, the Veran valley and around Doran; the Sallanches tourist office (in the 14th-century castle at Quai de l'Hôtel de Ville) is open from Monday to Saturday for info on these and on guided tours. By car, set off for trips to Chamonix, for shops, cafés, restaurants and more heady Mont Blanc views, plus rides on the cable car ride to Aiguille de Midi, rising 3,842 metres from the town centre. Skiing is easily accessed around the area – 'tis the Alps, after all – and the blue waters of Lac Bénit are within 50 minutes' drive if you'd prefer warmer pursuits amid scenic lakeside walks. If you're holidaying with kids or teens, Sallanches has a couple of playgrounds, a skate park, a public pool, bowling and a big indoor play centre for ages up to 12. Paintballing is available at Passy, 10 minutes' drive away.

Admissió

Qualsevol persona que passi la nit al càmping haurà de presentar el document d'identitat a recepció i completar els tràmits necessaris.

Arribades i sortides

Les arribades tardanes s'han de notificar al càmping al més aviat possible. La vostra reserva queda garantida durant 24 hores. Un cop passat aquest temps, la direcció es reserva el dret de rellogar la vostra unitat.
Les parcel·les o els allotjaments s'assignaran en arribar al càmping.
No s'ofereixen reembossaments/descomptes per les inclemències metereològiques, les arribades tardanes ni les sortides anticipades.

General

El bar (i/o el restaurant) està obert del 01/06 al 31/08.
En cas que tingueu alguna queixa, parleu amb recepció de seguida. Aquelles queixes que no hagueu presentat a l'administració durant la vostra estada no es podran resoldre un cop hagueu marxat del càmping.
La direcció es reserva el dret de refusar l'accés o posar fi a l'estada d'aquells hostes que presentin un comportament inapropiat. En tal cas, no s'oferirà cap reembossament.
Les ràdios, els reproductors de música i els televisors s'han de mantenir a baix volum. Les portes i els maleters dels vehicles s'han de tancar amb cura.
No es poden fer servir targetes de descompte ni targetes de regal per efectuar reserves a través de Pitchup.com.
S'ha de respectar el silenci absolut entre les 22:00 i les 7:00.

Vehicles

El preu només inclou un vehicle si viatgeu amb caravana o tenda de campanya. Si viatgeu amb autocaravana/càmper i voleu portar un vehicle addicional, cal que seleccioneu el cost extra corresponent.
No es permeten les unitats de més de 6 metres de llarg.
No s'admeten vehicles de doble eix al càmping.

Visites

Els vehicles de les visites no tenen accés autoritzat al càmping.
