Everything here’s geared up to making your life easy. On arrival, there’s no need to start messing around with tents; your holiday home is there, ready and waiting, so you can get down to holiday antics straight away. As well as bedrooms, each caravan has plenty of space for lounging around and an outdoor deck for afternoon snoozes or family meals.
Kitchens are nattily equipped with microwave, hob and fridge, and you can grab supplies at the on-site shop or takeaway, so cooking’s easy enough if you feel like a night in. Other clever extras to minimise your workload include washing machines and dryers, as well as wifi (all a small extra charge) so you can keep tabs on everyone.
Most of the action centres on the pools and waterslides (there’s an indoor pool too, for when the sun doesn’t come out), as well as a playground, sports pitches and a teens’ games room. Park toddlers at the supervised club in high season and sneak off for a Jacuzzi session or join an aquagym class in the pool. At night you can congregate in the poolside bar for a couple of drinks and chats with fellow guests, and in high season, there’s plenty of organised entertainment for all.

Llocs d'interès
With so much going on, some families never make it off site, but you might just regret it if you don’t. The beach is supervised in high season, so it’s safe for swimming, while older kids might like to try surfing or kayaking. You can also wear yourselves out on thrill rides and slides at Atlantic Toboggan, or rope trails at Dino’s Park (both five minutes’ drive).
There are animal encounters at Planète Sauvage safari park (50 minutes) and a little further away still is the fantastic family-oriented Puy du Fou theme park (one and a half hours), well worth the journey for its magical shows and firework displays.
So the kids have had their fun and now it’s your turn. Sample local wines in beachside bars on the way into Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez (10 minutes) or head to Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie (15 minutes) to try local sardines in speciality restaurants.
